Drawtober: Totally Radical Cass
🕑 Added 2025-10-02 03:21:09 +0000 UTCHappy Fall, y’all! 🍁 I set a lot of personal goals for this month, including a Walktober challenge (10k steps minimum daily, plus ya boi signed up for my first ever 5k charity event!) I’d also like to tackle a Drawtober challenge…lots of artists pledge to draw daily from a list of prompts. I’m just gonna do my own thing though. ;P And while I can’t promise to post a drawing every day (I have to work late at the office more often than I’d like) I’m gonna do my best to draw as much as possible. >:3 Basically bullying myself to stop overthinking it and just doodle freely and for fun~
Cass and her big fuzzy flippers may be clumsy on land, but they’re surprisingly skilled on a skateboard. They’re a not-so-lean not-so-mean nacho cheese-powered ollie & kick flip machine, with blubber mercifully thick enough to tank any fumbles and falls. Cass hopes to go pro someday, though their floundering college grades might pose a bit of a roadblock. Good thing their sharky study buddy Katie is around to tutor them, and stop them from copying Brooke’s homework.

Thanks! It's not that kind of 5k though, it's noncompetive. I'm actually bringing Daisy, plus her chest harness so I can carry her when she gets tired of walking (she's got little legs). I'm there to raise a couple bucks for cancer research and get some walking in with my mom and coworkers, not run for realsies. Though maybe I will enter a competive 5k sometime!

Dude, I want this as a sticker. Then I can put it on my helmet too! Well, I don’t have a helmet, but I can get one. Also, good luck on your 5K training! I did my first 5K last year. I wasn’t even halfway through my first mile before I wanted to jump into the nearby lake. My advice: don’t jump into any lakes

He does, actually! I designed him a while back. :3 Just been kinda unsure what to do with him in the story. He was originally going to be Cass' skateboarding rival, but "weirdo rival with a crush" felt too similar to what I was doing with Brooke and Katie. :/ And yet, Zipperflash feels off if he's not a weirdo smug panicky idiot with a rivalry-crush. Hmm. Idk, But I'm open to suggestions!
