really glad to see this. last chapter had me a bit worried how she'd get to anywhere important on time since ainz parted with neia on a pretty good course to establish a new faith and she'd later give her stamp to recognize his war

I think people aren't at the point of breaking yet. But it's close. Demiurge would be designing this entire situation to skirt the edges of outright revolution.

Thanks for the chapter!

I agree with this, I personally feel that at the latest once there was talk of "people starving in the streets, because food was short" there ought to be some SERIOUS discontent! On the other hand in this "New World" death and hardship are much more "common", than in ours, add to that a general "middle ages mentality" and I could see it take more than this to make the MAJORITY of "the people" go "crazy". Also and that's probably the most important thing, they have that trade fleet incoming right? As I understand the propaganda is "these new measures will get the economy rolling so when the fleet comes and prices drop EVERYONE will be better off". But it's only a question of time, be it that at some point corrupt Nobles will hurt SK intelligence agents, that the fleets arrival basically won't fix the issues at all or that Demiurge decides it's time to "save" the holy Kingdom now! Whichever happens first would the spell the doom for the current corrupt leadership.

Why doesn't anyone get mad in this story? I don't mean the "annoyed" type of mad, I mean the "I'm going to murder them" type of mad. These aren't a people ground down by years of oppression, right? So where's all the self-righteous anger against the nobles, knights, and even the ruler? Angry mobs are especially common when food is scarce or expensive, so where are they? I just don't understand. Is it because of skills? I can't believe literally everything can be explained away "because magic".

Just refresh before going to bed and yup new chapter :PPP “Indeed,” Sir Olivença said. “I was granted a title just last month. Truly, His Divine Grace is a progressive visionary! As the top earner in the district, I guarantee that you’ll be extraordinarily popular with our clients.” Neia’s gaze went past the man’s shoulder to the magically-lit sign of his ‘establishment’. The Queen of Thorns… For some reason, there was a pretty well-drawn image of Queen Calca on it, but she was wearing a black mask over her eyes and brandishing a whip.'' Let it to Demon to approve of these type of things for sure and find them delicious to Support it in this country and elevate the guy with a Title xDDD as its a Sin here and so 'corrupt' people :) Well i like where its going with Neia, though i'm a tiny bit miffed on the specific aspect that we don't even get a peep about normally the huge number of fanatic/converted people (thousands) she have around the place and have link/relationship and web of contact formed with for sure now, (even if i guess most are in the Army and moved to the new conquest territory as of now) that she was alone like that (and so lost) feel very very strange and i expected some guy (of her web of contact or who know her or who have worked with her) that she worked with to be nearby fast and show up to her and even maybe follow her or direct her to somewhere (like for example direct her to this Rancher guy we get here where she just have gone) (was quite too into the Demiurge Agents maybe pushed a people like that in some way to nudge Neia where they want she go now (as her dismiss is for sure a move of them) so letting her total in random and to her for where to go next feel a bit off on this aspect too :)

All according to Demiurge's plan. She was selected by Ainz after all.
