Somehow I managed to forget the Spartacus thing. Most of what I know about roman history is around the time of Julius Caesar and I believe Spartacus just barely predates all of that. The important thing is that those revolts never endangered the overall system of slavery. Spartacus and co just kind of settled on mount Vesuvius. Given the overall fragility of the roman state apparatus of the time it's almost impressive how simple it was in the end for them to deal with the uprising. And that was an uprising of gladiators, people with combat training and weapon familiarity. The nature of the world aspect is pretty important to remember too yeah I agree. We see that in reality slaves are often unmotivated workers who do the bare minimum. But when repetitive actions improve your ability to do those tasks going forwards beyond just muscle memory and naturally accumulated skill the benefits may significantly outweigh the consequences. The lack of economic productivity is one of the major driving forces behind why true slavery economies die out as the overall society advances. It's a bit of a local optima. But a non slave society will outcompete them in our world.

Well... There definitely was the very prominent and historicalpy proven "Spartakus-uprising" in Rome were thousands of slaves rose up against the empire and even beat the Legions in battle several times. So... But on your other points I agree with you especially in a world were people gain classes and then conform to those classes' "normal realities", I could easily see slaves get levels in "Slave-classes" and thus "accept" their situation much easier then otherwise expected!

Thanks for the chapter!

It's likely a case of scale. Sure some of those slaves have relations, but they are nothing in the grand scheme of things. A cart with 50 corpses on it compared to a population of hundreds of thousands of slaves is next to nothing. Most slaves would go their entire lives without having a family member or close friend killed. Additionally you may be putting human standards on non-humans. Goblins are by nature different to humans in this setting. Trolls and Ogres are also different. Those differences are part of what makes a peaceful multi racial society difficult to force into being. It's hard enough in the real world where we only have ethnic differences to contend with. Slavery brings to mind imagery of a lot of whips and arbitrary punishments. But most of slave history does not resemble this at all. Slaves often held relatively prominent roles in society. I believe Romans would even use slaves to manage the equivalent of financial portfolios or to teach the leaders of the next generation of roman elite. Slaves were present on the roman battlefield as logistics support and in a few cases even took up arms to support the roman army. But I can't think of any cases where they took the opportunity to revolt. Even in the classical depiction of the american slave trade, about 70-80% of the productivity a slave created went back to feeding, clothing, housing and other costs associated with that slave. Comparable to a 20-30% taxation rate. The real sin of slavery is the theft of agency.

But were talking about stronger than normal people. With magic. Most of the slaves are demihumans. Was actually waiting for more humanlike, a human, elf or beastman somehow in the slave area. But nothing.

There's no way they can be moving carts of slave corpses and not have constant uprisings on their hands... Like imagine if one of those corpses were a friend or family member. Slavery is historically a very dangerous and risky business.

''The only things that seemed to ever pause in their journey were the rail cars, which followed their tracks into berths every few hundred metres where various containers awaited loading. The system was not unlike what the Sorcerous Kingdom was currently adopting, though things were scaled down to be handled by slave labour.'' Did she talk about a rail and train system? or just about the 'box'/containers system for transporting things? i don't think SK as of yet have gone for implement a rail and train system or talked about it, so she seem to miss some interesting aspect and upgrade here i think when using rail and train? ''Slaves from races that aren’t common down here are usually tossed in with the Goblins assuming that they can fit in.'' Goblin ever adaptable ones :P “Wh-what was that?!” “It was me,” Boobeebee said from inside her skirt.'' xD the Zern really don't like having nothing on their head :) What is the contrary to claustrophobic again? :P And can someone refresh me on how small and the exact size the Boobeebee race is? (if it was stated clearly in some past chapter?) ''Ten minutes later, the train decelerated and stopped in front of another platform. Florine struggled as a tide of people threatened to sweep her off. Then the people coming in nearly ejected her off of the other side. “This is crazy,” Florine said. “How do you people live like this?” Aww the good scene (make me smile :), well Florine, welcome to the future of train and metro system and what huge population and transportation system will anyway create :P The constant shock keep coming for our Florine character :) and her world view and what she think know on some aspects but she doesn't seem much to internalize and digest them as of now and what they can mean, changing her perception and her 'false' expectation (and how to say it 'pseudo-judgement?', initial tainted glass/view?) that she has more or less initially to everything all time She don't go ahead of it and seem still a lot anchored/stuck in her old things, sticking to them as first though all time when new things are coming, when she was show basically that all time what she expected was wrong/false, was thinking that she start stop 'expecting' and keep in mind when going to see new things to not have/keep prior initial wrong assumption on it, and see things first with how many time she was proved 'wrong' I guess it still has not stuck in and she is a bit in 'shock' but i was expecting a bit more of her (and she have a bit of head up with already her past experience and what she have learned with SK in these past years and the role she has taen) i guess its defense mechanism that she still stuck so much on her old fundamental who keep taint her initial expectation and constant assumption when seeing her new reality even if logically she know these old things are already 'destroyed' for most of them I want we atleast start see sign it 'advance' on this aspect for out Florine character, 25 chapter in of her doing more or less the same things and 'reaction' to the new things she is faced start to be a bit zzz on this specific aspect of her character and inner though/initial reaction to all new things, feel like it don't advance at all on the process for her character development, when she is presented constant new things and 'shock' but we don't seem to see her even starting processing and internalizing/digesting it at all, and her starting to adapting how she gonna go/address seeing/searching new things who she know are coming (without her old 'expectation' and 'assumption' she stick to everything who is more misleading her than helping as she have learning it multiple time already) time (with these experience) to change a bit on some specific aspect how you approach things no at this points?
