Silmadrillion

I do hope we see a very delicious thrashing of SKs Merchant Guild. That once they try to tap the Royal Court for some muscle that they get even more thrashed. and when they try to bring in the international see..... I wanna see blood, preferably Saraca and his ilk. A new Katze Plains for Bone Daddy... well, less negative energy coz Lud is there. but then she might evolve....queue pokemon evolve animation

Silmadrillion

Hopefully. thing is, she is 100% still guild like in her worldview and it's gonna require a big enough crash that she's truly connected to for that to sink in. She absolutely is still not seeing the forest from the trees. I don't remember her stat sheet, but her "merchant" sides look to need some downsizing.

Yeah but i was more on the timing of that (inform them, and now?) and also how much they inform them in the detail of it and disclose everything? and the degree of inclusion of them into the SK dealing with Xoc side After all yes DK will need to be informed and included into it at some point anyway, but maybe a bit after SK get a good place and look on it? and when its interest and hand into it are build and solid on it Primary trader and dealer and etc with Xoc and thing put in place between them

Valguris

Oh, yeah, I forgot about their agreement. Was there a part about not collecting taxes from traders passing through DK territory? Or was it just an agreement about creating an exclave? I'll have to reread it to see what exactly they agreed on. Still, there is no downside for giving the queen a heads up that they will be trading with Rol'en'gorek. Hiding that information might be seen as... rude at the very least, possibly malicious at the worst.

Did you forget about the free trade zones in the harbor. Those are sorcerer Kingdom sovereign territory. The only way that the draconic Kingdom collects taxes on those goods is if they leave those facilities and enter the draconic kingdom. On the bright side the uptick of goods traveling through should motivate the merchant community of the draconic Kingdom to look beyond past animosity and look forward to a new prosperous future. Or at least the big piles of money. The sorcerer kingdom does not need to hide a damn thing, or gate passed anything. That's the reason why Leanne and Clara insisted on building the compounds.

Duke of Coffee

Liane unfortunately is kinda stuck on the Guild sideish but it won't take long for her to be dislodge from the Guild side once the demi-humans make more profits than the human side. 😉

Duke of Coffee

Doubtful that Guilds have a presence in the Underdark, and SK guilds is mostly human centric ones...

Duke of Coffee

Bloodmilla will purge them of their heresy. 😜

Valguris

There's no way the queen will come. She's desperately needed in her own country to get her people back on their feet after the invasion. Furthermore, no one is going to risk sending their precious queen to a likely still hostile nation. The queen definitely needs to be told about opening the trade between SK and Rol'en'gorek. The barges will be passing through her territory and she's going to collect taxes/customs. Any attempt at hiding it would be promptly found out as that volume of goods is hard to hide and its not worth causing a diplomatic incident. Technically Shalltear could Gate the barges past DK territory, but involving NPCs in such matters is not sustainable as SK grows.

GodImSoSorry

Liane really grinds my gears but I really cant wait to see what the author does with the growing divide between Ludmilla and Liane's worldviews. The characters are so well written!

Duke of Coffee

“I believe that is the silliest thing I have ever heard from you, my dear Lady Wagner,” she said. “Why would I interrupt an enemy who is in the midst of making a mistake?” Sun Tzu approves.

Amazing chapter, i just can't wait to see where it will goes now and how it can evolve The last few chapter/sub-arc was more or less chill and etc (slow quiet worlbuilding and fundation put in place for future arc and check up on old things), but now with all these things who just appeared and just started to move :) im just very excited for the new few sub-arc who are incoming and are writing about what we get in this chapter And did they going to go in Rolengorek with their full delegation? Did they will catch/grab some DK people representative too? (the Queen?) or atleast inform them Damn so many things just started to move now, can't wait for the next chapter now, the waiting (1 week now) kill me when a period of the story like that appear :) The clash and weaving of plenty disparate threads are coming together :PPPP

Thanks for the chapter!

I said it once I'll say it again the guilds are picking on the absolute last Noble they should. Unless I miss my guess Ludmilla is fixing to put her territory into overdrive. Also is she going to get a promotion anytime soon? She's about to be at economic and population parody with some of the more prosperous nobles. If you want some Demi human members in the House of Lords we needs someone with the appropriate political authority to elevate them. The only other Noble that's likely to put a demi human in the House of Lords is not in position to do so. I halfway expect she's going to put the orc Chief in charge of the town in the upper reaches. Anyways good chapter, but I still miss the updates every 2 days. I know it ain't happening but a guy can dream.

Because RR hates Fanfiction. Any works flagged as Fanfiction have the option to donate disabled. After a long and pointless discussion with one of the admins, I found out how ignorant they are about copyright law and they stubbornly refuse to recognise that they're in the wrong when it comes to it.

Aeridinae Lunaris

It mostly boils down to their characterisation with accents working as a hint just in case. Liane tends to use Merchant's drawl while Clara and Ludmila speak in the contraction-less language of the Theocracy.

ovrsurge

Expanding the robust economic models of Wardens Vale to the western Abelion hills is interesting. In theory that allows linking up with the incredibly powerful artisans of the Duergar which means that even in the short term a total embargo would have a rather negligible impact beyond forcing investment into the fledgling alternate economy (oh no how tragic). I wonder if the Underdark has any guild presence of if they are a mostly surface level institution.

So, the link to this patreon on royal road in your author signature has disappeared for a while now. I do know that RR supports providing the link directly in a format they understand, which shows up in a "Support the author's work and Donate" box. any reason not to add that to the RR page?

Ramsisuno

I'm struggling to understand who is saying what in some of the psuedo-telepathic scenes

Saphy

This is a very based chapter, thank you!
