Here are some photos my family took there when they were caught during the summer of fire.
Evacuation was by air and navy logistics ship.

And now you guys got floods?
I remember that. We were surrounded on three sides on the Central Coast, with the Three Mile and Gospers Mountain fires closing. Scary times.

I decided not to go that year. It seems I made the right choice.

That red is so penetrating! And that Navy ship must have been pretty cool to see up close like that.
