When using the terminal, did you make sure you added the 'hasrights' parameter? And which mac version do you use?

I have downloaded CE on my Mac but it can't install. The error message I get is that "cheat engine 7.2 quit unexpectedly ". I tried tried to change the gatekeeper settings and used the terminal but I still get the error message.

Is your mac configured to run apps outside of the app store, and allowed to run unsigned applications ?

I have latest mac catalina ( sounds like a virus ), - CE it will not open. No way, it probably never will open :( well why should it open, when I just payed for this patreon thingy.......

Have you tried the 7.2 Beta version? It also has a mac build If that also doesn't work, then extract the .zip to your home directory directly (Do not add it to apps) and then try that If that fails, then open a terminal, make sure you're in the same directory as the ce.app(if you installed to your home directory it usually is) and do (if on beta 7.2): sudo "Cheat Engine 7.2 Beta 1.1.app/Contents/MacOS/cheatengine-x86_64" hasrights If that also fails, check if "syslog" is showing something

i allow everything but when i click on cheat engine it opens for a minute but not the client just icon opens and closes nothing happens i uninstalled - installed like 10 times please help

Ah rightn I didn't notice ut was the mac version. Do you get any notification about gatekeeper blocking it? And cCheck your settings to allow apps outside of the appstore

For mac it's time-limited per session, but you can just download the .zip attached to this post here, extract it to your mac, tell your mac to run it even though it's unsigned and from the internet, and then press 1, 2 or 3 depending on the message you get and use it

Disabling SIP is not really recommended. It may be better to add the developer ID as an exception on your mac

I'm not sure what you mean with wiz graphical client. But if you mean you can't find a specific process, try the resource display. It has a process information list which may give info with the help of the Process ID

The Vectored Exception Handler is used in CE as an alternative to the windows debugger which many games break on purpose. For Mac CE already uses an alternate debugging system

Yeah, that sounds like the table was not made for the mac version.

I am able to access the read me attached to the table but the other script wouldn't run instead I get the error "no process selected" then the error log pops up containing this Error:[string "---------------------------------------------..."]:151: attempt to index a nil value (global 'compactmenuitem')

Instead of doubleclick click the process you are interested in first and then click on ok(i saw that doubleclick sometimes doesn't work) As for the table issue, is this a table you made yourself for your mac; or a table made by someone else? (Tables for windows versions will most of the time not work for mac versions of those games as they are compiled differently)

Done that and I don't get that error anymore so that is fine now.But then, after attaching the process, I get the error "no process was selected" but the process is already attached. Tested with another application and got the same error. I can edit certain things but searching for them but the use of tables doesn't seem to work.

That sounds more like either a missing dylib (Do you have libssl installed and if your mac 64-bit?) or security (CE is not signed so you may have to allow unsigned and non-app store application to load)

I have disabled 'System Integrity Protection' (SIP) on my macbook (High Sierra 10.13.6) but the CheatEngine still does run. when I click the icon, it just pop-up for a sec and disappear. Help!

Try copying it to /Applications/ and try there. Or are you familiar with using the command prompt? You could try to open it from there and it may give a better error description. (Is your mac 64-bit capabable?)

i've tried this way however when you right click and open the file, the icon "bounces" (like every other app) and then the icon disappear. thanks for the help (i'm running on mojave)

Check your security settings. You may have to allow it specifically (allow non-app store apps to run)
