So, I'm super pleased that we skipped a ton of the stuff I found boring about the book (mostly the first third or so), and I think that by the next episode, we'll be jumping right into the stuff I found interesting. (If you skipped my ramble at the beginning, this will make less sense. Lol).
I think that whoever they've chosen to play Jamie is perfect.
I'm also sure that after the next episode, I'll have more to say. Ha.

They did a really great job with his make up because I was so not sure it was him! Honestly, this might be the quickest I've gotten characters. I decided not to really worry about it, and they just sort of all came! I love this show so far.

Maybe for other seasons, but I love the idea of seeing how close my brain was to matching whatever the creators came up with on screen. Lol.

It's getting easier, super quickly. This show is so well done. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who didn't love the beginning of this book. Lol. But it more than made up for itself as it went along!

Yes, the same actor plays both Frank and Black Jack. Don't worry about knowing who people are now. You know the ppl who were introduced now. Claire, Jamie, Dougal, Frank and Black Jack Randall. They introduce ppl a few at a time. For example, one of the most important characters was shown here but not properly introduced. Don't feel too pressured to remember ppl immediately. You will be fine. Jamie is great! I did enjoy show Jamie more than book Jamie and book Jamie is great. It's just different when you see them. The Claire casting is great too! Love her. Can't wait for you to watch the rest. Thank you!!!

Yeah I usually recommend people watch the show first and then read the books. If you do another season, maybe doing in that order would be more fun for reactions and for you to see if you want to read more of the books. But up to you

I can't wait to watch when I get home. I just listened to your intro driving. I was a little worried at first, lol. The books do get better like you see with the 2nd half. I saw the show first then read the books. I'm glad because Idk if I would have gotten through the 1st book. I may have skipped some of the first half of the book. 😄 I'm like give me Jamie. The show basically starts not too long after Claire goes through the stones, so we didn't have to sit through a lot of exposition. I do love the history part of the show, but it was hard to sit through Frank in the book.
