🕑 Added 2024-05-01 18:00:07 +0000 UTCI'm so not into this Derek storyline. I'm glad he's choosing to distance himself from Peyton right now. There are too many other things I'm interested in. We don't need to take away from them. Lol.
Are they really going to let Nathan and Haley have this baby? I expect some sort of accident to befall Haley and her to lose the baby. It seems like it will be too difficult to add a baby into the mix right now. Unless it's going to be one of those babies who basically never exist on TV. Or it'll live with Karen or something.
So Brooke and the teacher are definitely going to get caught now the Rachel knows. I can never figure out if she and Brooke are friends or not. If people in my life treated me like this, I would not call them a friend. Or share a room with them. It's very confusing. Do we think Rachel is gonna sabotage this fashion show too?
I hate agreeing with Dan, but I do sort of think that if Nathan and Haley want to be married high schoolers, they need to figure out how to live without their parents' money. Although, I don't love Nathan's way of getting it. This is so gonna come back to bite him in the ass when he tries to accept the Duke scholarship, isn't it?
I'm loving Skills, Nathan, and Lucas playing together. Also Lucas getting Keith's jersey, come on!

After season 2 her storylines became all about Lucas. She is a much more interesting character without Lucas imo.

I remember S1 Peyton and she was not self assured at all. She was scared and Lucas helped her with her art (Thud) and her dad. S1 Peyton was just more bitchy and introverted because she barely knew anyone and we've seen her slowly become more friendly which I think is the reason why you loved her. But she already had traumas + mental breakdown (running red lights etc) And she was also already a disaster magnet (got drugged, dad missing in a storm, crashed car, toxic boyfriend). And of course she was involved in a love triangle. But in S1 she lied about her feelings. Now she is being honest ;)

I really don't see how her storylines are all the same. I guess It's because I care. And Lucas is as involved in her life as he was in season 1 when he barely knew her.

I 100% did not think about medical bills. And since Nathan has been kinda usy with other stuff, I basically forgot about them. Oops. So Lucas' look was just to appease the fans of this show? I mean, I LOVE guys in eyeliner. I've been trying to convince Dan (my husband, not Dan Scott) to wear some forever. But, I did not realize it was a conscious choice. I just assumed he did it for something else and OTH was forced to deal with it.

I'm certainly not defending Brooke against Peyton here. I get Brooke being mad at Peyton, but the pettiness towards Peyton is childish, eye-rolling, and off-putting. Brooke tends to be up and down for me. I was not a fan of the Brooke/Rachel storyline. I think Rachel is a terrible influence on her. I also did not like this teacher storyline, but more so from the teacher's end. He should have ended it as soon as he found out she was his student.

I get it I just like Peyton’s character. Especially way more than Brooke. She kinda fell off in season 2 for me . She always felt childish to me like how she acts. And now with a teacher like come on

Honestly, her storylines are all the same. I was desensitized by her trauma at this point. It became more about what Lucas could do for her than what she could learn from it and do for herself. The fact that you mentioned that it was a Peyton, Lucas and Derek storyline is very telling. Why does Lucas have to be so involved? I also enjoyed her character much more in season 1. She seemed way more independent. Maybe she'll get back to that. We'll see.

Surprised you didn’t like the Peyton Lucas Derek storyline yeah i get they put her thru way to much in these last 2 seasons like give her a break😭😭… loved Lucas playing again tho especially with Keith’s jersey

Even though rent, utilities, food, etc., were cheaper 20 years ago, the medical system was just as terrible. On top of their regular bills, Nathan now owes thousands in hospital expenses because of his heroics. Also, someone mentioned in the comments a few epis ago the reason for Lucas' new look. It had something to do with giving him a more emo look to appeal to that sector of the fandom back then.
