Well, the Good news is, Mai vs Chun Li hit 75k Views in less than a month! That's fantastic.....however, I have no idea how people are finding the video.....What is complete and utter bullshit, is when I search "Chun Li vs Mai" despite having 5,000 Subscribers, my video isn't in the first 200 Results.....I simply can't make sense of it. I've gone incognito and tried different browsers, and I keep having the same issue. Let me know if it's like that for you guys. I get there's a lot of content with these two in it.....but why videos from 11 years ago, with 800 views come up first is beyond me....
It sucks sinking in 300 hours of work into a project, then chalking it up to a shitty algorithm that seems to suppress my content. On top of that, as I'm sure it's no surprise to you guys, my videos aren't monetized....I literally have to get through ads to watch my own content. It's just ridiculous. So again, shout out to my patreon members, who are the only means of financial support I have, while making these.
Animating is hard enough, but there are a lot of things that make this more tiresome than it needs to be.
and again, with the aforementioned, 300 Hours of work, the comments I receive are....

And no, I just can't "ignore it". The 75k Is just a number, it's the comments that I have to show for it.
Sheesh, even writing this was exhausting. Sorry for being out of touch, but I needed a mental vacation from animating.
I'm slowly getting back to it...I need SOMETHING to do, when I wake up early on the weekend.
( For my next project, again, I want to set expectations. I don't want the pressure of constantly trying to out do myself, cause that's not healthy in this environment.
Anyway, hate to sound pessimistic, but things are good...except my health...but that's a different story.

Oh, yeah. That would make more sense considering TikTok and shorts users lol. I did the search and it was the same deal. The teaser was within the first 10 videos but the actual video was FAR down. Yeah lmao

Thanks, Foulman, if you want my two cents, I'd say it's not YouTube, per say that hates Animators, it's just algorithms and audiences in general, tend to favor quick and easy content and that tends to be circulated more. In the case Chun Li vs Mai, it's frustrating because the teaser trailer shows up, but not the full animation. It's just strange and I can't make sense of it. Would you mind just doing a quick Youtube search and letting me know if it's the same for you? Yeah and I can't complain about comments, every video has a lot of the same exact rhetoric. That's the internet!

Firstly, congrats on the view!! Second: Yeah, from I understand, YouTube REALLY hates the animators in their site. Even the bigger ones have trouble getting recognition. As for the comments, it's good you try to ignore them. Most are just bullshit and don't understand when something is done just for fun rather than accuracy or that it's just a fan thing rather than a "click bait reveal"
