It makes sense. Deleon is still thinking like a doll, when really he has become something else entirely. I can't imagine suddenly having the ability to feel emotions during such a distressing time.

I genuinely like the transition from that last page to this first page. I would keep both, in my opinion; I feel like it adds to the storytelling. In terms of what is actually going on, sweet JESUS, what Deleon is going through is incredibly relatable, in terms of his emotional state and this anxious reaction. The amount of characterization and dimensions you add to your characters is so superb. I’m loving this story more and more every day
