I think Gavin is right about coffee and americano but everyone else is right about coke and diet coke. I think Gavin should have to pick a coffee. It would be like if Andrew said soda and then everyone else picked a brand of soda. Gavin needs to be a little more specific unless he just means like bog standard in a pot coffee.

1. McDonald's Coca-Cola (they refrigerate the syrup and carbonate it differently which makes a huge difference) 2. Sweet Tea 3. Chai 4. Lemonade Interestingly, Gavin's last pick (Mexican Coke) is, a lot of the time, just Coke. They sometimes sweeten it with cane sugar, but a lot of the time it's just the same HFCS we get north of the border and it's a placebo effect. (The glass bottle does provide a different drinking experience which plays into it.)

I totally disagree with gavin. Coffee is an ingredient in drinks as well as a drink. Picking just coffee is coffee by itself the black coffee that Eric drinks. The difference between a coffee and an iced latte are vast, there are a lot of people who like one and hate the other. Claiming coffee as an all-encompassing category would be like picking soda and then claiming all fizzy drinks.

In reference to Gavin's coffee argument, the question becomes "where do you draw the line?" If someone picks Root Beer, are cream sodas off the table? They're just root beer with cream in them, which is pretty similar to the differences between different ways to prepare coffee. I was with Gavin at first, but the longer I thought about it, the more I think I agree with everyone else. Like, you couldn't pick "soda" and get upset when someone else picks coke. Gavin essentially just picked traditional coffee, not the entire category of coffee.

That’s not really the same. Coffee is an actual drink where as soda is a category there’s not a huge overlap with sarsaparilla and Mountain Dew, but most coffee drinks are a ratio of three ingredients.

Of the four Eric’s would probably be my go to. I drink Diet Coke every time I go to a movie and I’m always excited about the time of the year I get Eggnog and PSL’s. Horchata is the weakest link in his lineup for me; a nice flavor that I enjoy every time I have it but never seek it out specifically.
