I’m in the US and I’ve only ever had a crown after a root canal. My guess is maybe the filling caused some structural problems in the tooth and they thought the crown would help? But I’m not a dentist and this is just a guess

When I got a crown put in they printed it right there in the room, it took like an hour, the whole procedure took two hours. My dentist said it was new fancy tech but that was 7 years ago. So there is definitely a better way, or I have a crown that they are gonna find out is gonna give me cancer. 50/50

I have a question why are they putting crowns on after doing fillings in America? I have 20+ fillings because I didn’t look after my teeth when I was younger and I don’t have a single crown on any of them so I’m confused. Obviously UK dentistry is a bit different, to the USA. To me this just seems like they’re trying to get as much money out of you as they can

I am a quality control scientist at a company that makes animal vaccines, I want to say that I am not qualified to do what you want. But as a former cat owner of an elderly cat that started to piss everywhere, the best way to get him to stop is to put a litter box in there. It didn't help for me, but that's what the vet suggested.
