Fastball is equivalent to a very hard hit, it its to the head you're dead(there has been instances in cricket of players getting hit in the chin from a bad bounce), so if you protect your head/have it hit lower you'd have a better shot that getting sacked

1000% I agree with Eric as someone who has played baseball as a kid I’ve been hit with fastballs and was fine a minute later whereas a lineman hit I could wind up in a damar Hamlin situation. Also more proof look up on YouTube Bobby Wagner tackles fan on the field. He destroys the fan.
