I don't know why Andrew keeps saying this isnt a draft, it clearly is. Like a real draft unlike the ones they usually do that they call drafts but I still say are just them making a tier list. Drafts, like for say sports teams, are picking something to then be used later. In the usual ones they're just showing off their favorites, while here there's a built in point system with the ranking on the final list, so the better your drafted movie is in the overall list the more points and better you do in the end

This was such a bad list. Eric's ultra contrarian attitude towards everything in media drives me crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world, and Geoff can make a bit about anything. It makes me laugh so hard. To be honest, this is exactly why I support your content. I love you guys so much. hahaha Can't wait for the next one. P.S. I don't know why it always pisses me off so much, but every time Geoff does a bit for these lists I end up hating it. I wish he would have talked in depth about each of his movies but then chosen a real one like MI3 or Aliens. That way he gets his bit and we get a better list.

I 100% agree. Anytime I try to watch a movie from the 80s or 90s, I walkaway disappointed. Even movies I did watch as kid like Indiana Jones or the original Star Wars just aren't enjoyable today. Everything about movie making has improved so much.

Current action movies are WAY over produced. I don't need 15 cuts in 15 seconds of someone jumping a fence. Yeah you don't have the jankiness of fighting a CGI monster of decades past. Action movies of today lost "the sprit" of an action movie.

No one considers the nostalgia effect with movie rankings. From a completely unbiased point of view, almost every movie made today is better than every movie made in the past. Acting, special effects, writing, music, stunt work, cinematography, every facet of filmmaking has improved with time. These 80s and 90s action movies are only as good as the modern action movies to people who saw them when they came out and have a nostalgic love for them that lets them gloss over all the faults, cheesiness, terrible writing, awful deliveries, and gimmicky fight sequences.

To Geoff's comment on the Timothy Zahn books, a lot of that stuff has been and is being re-worked to fit into the current SW Canon, with Zahn himself writing novels and consulting on it, because those original novels were such a big deal. It's not 1:1 or anything but still.

Was a great show all around and other than Geoff’s joke list I think it was a pretty solid list! I think the biggest egregious miss was no Matrix - that would be a top 5 for a lot of people I think. On my personal list I’d have included Dredd too (especially since Gavin worked on that movie!) but I understand why it wouldn’t be on everyone’s picks
