I have always found it very funny that in the NFL you are a unicorn for playing both sides, but in a sport like Rugby League or Union, everyone plays both sides (and you have way less breaks in play in those sports as well).

Moving the hoop during free throws might be the dumbest idea anyone has ever had. Nobody would ever make a shot, everyone would foul every possession, and there would be no basketball. Love the elimination NASCAR idea. I would say dont start eliminations until number of laps equals number of cars. But maybe leave the top 5 to race for the win, so start eliminatin around lap 35, then last lap would be the top 5 racing for the win. Leaves opportunity for side by side finishes.

Most players can get to first easily before a pop up is caught. I would change it to, if you can make it to 2nd before the ball is caught and you are thrown out, then you are safe. But it’s a force out at second so you don’t have to be tagged. Also, if you are thrown out it’s a double play. It incentivizes the speedsters but also adds a risk for them. Otherwise, they would always round 1st to try to force an error.

My rules are 1) Every NFL team gets a counter-flag each game. It can be used to cancel out any non-personal foul flag thrown on the prior play. Holding call on the big run? Nope. Counter-flag. Run stands. Offside on a sack? Nope. Counter-flag. Sack stands. Other team throws a challenge flag and you also think the refs got it wrong? Nope. Counter-flag. Challenge is ignored. But say you really want that challenge, then you can counter-flag their counter-flag. 2) In NASCAR, every lap the last place car is eliminated from the race. Pole position becomes extremely important at the start of the race. Every lap becomes poised for drama, but the front of the pack is still continuing the same “maintain position for majority of race” strategies and techniques. Imagine those last 10 laps of every race being a photo finish until there is only 1 car left on the track. If there’s a wreck, then no cars are up for last place elimination until the number of laps pass equals the number of cars that were unable to return to the race. This would shorten races significantly, so you could make a rule like every 3rd lap a car is eliminated or the eliminations don’t start until there are 40 laps remaining. But the drama that would be built up would bring in many more fans.

My rule is called the No-No. In baseball, a player is automatically walked if hit by a pitch, but NOTHING happens if the batter hits the pitcher with the ball after a bad swing. I propose consequences for the batters who hit the pitcher, such as but not limited to releasing the hounds.

Idea for a new draft - animals in sports drafts. Dog tennis was a brilliant idea, but it got me thinking what else could you do to get our animal friends involved in the world of sports? Golf but where theres a cat chilling out on the green? Animal boxing feels really cruel, but it wouldnbe cool to know for s fact who is the toughest animal. I have a fun one for baseball, it'd benefit sprinters in the same way that geoff's run bank would. I think that while the ball is in the air, the batter can try to run to 1st base, but you're out if it's caught before you get there. So those super high pop-ups suddenly become a chance for a speedy hitter to make it to first before the ball comes down, making what was previously a guaranteed out into a hustle single.

Cricket stadiums are usually open, so you’re gonna have thousands of birds that come to learn they have a potential feast every time there’s a match, and everyone’s gotta just deal with the birds on top of the crickets.

- No one will ever decide on a "fair" OT rule for the NFL. Nick's rule just makes OT a pointless sloppy mess where there will be many season ending injuries. Might as well play rock paper scissors to decide the winner. I have to go with Geoff because he doesn't have a rule that if you already like the sport it doesn't ruin the spirit of the game/turn it into absurd mess where injuries skyrocket. He didn't have a deal-breaker rule like adding dogs to a tennis match. No one will ever use bank a run because the risk far outweigh the reward. Almost all of these rules only improve the game for people who just see the clips on social.

But I'm actually so on board to have a "puppy match" added to every sport event. There is an additional intermission match and the dogs are ambassadors for the local shelter the match is happening at. Players get bonus points if they score with the dogs in play, and the more play time they get the bigger the donation to that shelter ❤️

Am I insane or isn't there already some obscure hockey rule that has never been used that says if it goes into some specific type of overtime that more pucks get added with a max of like five possible pucks? I know I have heard this before, but can't find a source, which is why I am asking.
