Good point. It's amazing how nothing could be done about excess corporate profits for groceries and rents and railways. I keep hearing about how awesome she is but am not aware of her actually taking any action that might conceivably help normal people.

Super interesting points about the state keeping corporations on a leash with a constant looming threat of an antitrust inquiry. Lina Khan has been trotted out by liberals as one of the bright spots in the Biden admin when what has she actually done other than threaten big tech when they get out of line? Dog and pony shows from the FTC don’t change anything, hoping Lina Khan will clean up corporate America is as delusional as hoping that if we just elect the right people to higher office the good ole USA will get back on track.

The algorithmic censorship you hypothesize leads to greater implications about Cointelpro on the internet. After reading Surveillance Valley, then Surveillance Capitalism, I believe the left must reevaluate its relationship with the bramble of surveillance and subversion we call social media.

This was the most cogent explanation of the modern parafascist international that I’ve heard. I am reminded of Parenti’s 9/20/01 (!) lecture, placing the aftermath of 9/11 in the context of imperial oligarchy and the strategy of tension.
