Ruby’s Run – Part 3 (AE199)
🕑 Added 2025-02-18 19:52:40 +0000 UTCMax Arvo and I are back for the third of four episodes discussing Max’s important and groundbreaking articles on Jack Ruby which were published by our friend Jim DiEugenio over at Kennedys and King. Max’s research and articles detail how Jack Ruby was cast down, by his own legal team, into a CIA-MKULTRA labyrinth of clandestine lawfare and brain warfare. Ultimately, the account reveals the horror show that Ruby’s life became. Now more than ever, the life and death of Jack Ruby are a synecdoche for the American deep state.

It's funny that you say this...I did not plan to keep making jests during that portion but somehow with Max's very good and sober explanation of it, I couldn't help myself. That was fun. Admittedly, I may have a strange idea of what constitutes 'fun'.

Aaron's steady riffing through the Tusko incident was one of the more hilarious stretches in AE's history.

I interviewed Jeff Kaye about this in an earlier episode.

Jeffrey Kaye wrote an in depth article on the Korean War pilots. It’s worse than you think: they were given permission to confess to biological warfare and then used as human experiments for jolly west and company. Quoted from the article on Substack: “Behind the fears of supposed brainwashing and/or torture of POWs to obtain false confessions about use of biological weapons was a cynical and suppressed fact: the Pentagon had briefed the Air Force and Marine officers flying the BW missions that they could provide whatever operational information they deemed necessary to their captors. The rationale was to avoid possible torture. But the fact the flyers were given such instructions was suppressed from the public record.” https://open.substack.com/pub/kayej/p/cia-mkultra-and-the-cover-up-of-us
