I picked this up last week and couldn't wait to get home and tear into it. It's no good, but I got a quick video out of it!

What, you mean you're NOT trying to electrocute the moon?
Honistly i think he should do a all electic trabant.. or convert the robin to a 6 sec dragster LOLs
Calling it now. Bob was about to say "All electric Lada" when the video mysteriously and abruptly stopped.

When you're doing stupid things to batteries it's preferable to channel your inner Big Clive.

But I'm impatient. Actually I'm capable of waiting. See it then.

Hey we paid for the right to be told. Early. I guess we have to wait awhile.

Is the fire in the picture a clue? ;)
Aging Wheels
I'm not

Disappointed you didn't lick one.

You may draw a billion amps from a battery if you short it, probably a pretty bad idea, but you'll pull a lot of current! I guess you can also draw 8000 amps if you connect it to the right motor!?

I need to channel my inner NileRed

I can't believe you cut open those battery packs in such an unsafe and irresponsible manner. Don't you know you need an Explosion Containment Pie Dish? 😁

I'm sure this is one of those 'It did 8000A once, when it was brand new out of the factory, before delivery' type of deals.

They probably never did. The guy was likely just mistaken about that number

I still want to know how they got 8,000A out of this pack. Maybe that's why so many of the cells are basically trash now? Over-discharging at max output ruined the cells over time? How old are the cells I wonder? I hope you can one day tell the story of these cells and their life.
Oh good! I didn't want to see you in hot water over it. Great video!

That is definitely not the logo on these. The logo is visible in many parts, but the text isn't (I don't think) readable, so you'd have to recognize the logo of a small boutique battery fabricator to know who made this pack. Security through obscurity
The logo on the batteries looks an awful lot like the RockAuto.com logo..... Just in case it is, hopefully you can blur it a bit.
