I would honestly take the time and epoxy a reinforcement bracket behind all the bolts so you don't stress out any more of the fiberglass when you reinstall that heater core. And even though it is scope creep, it would be worth it to fix the fiberglass in the air duct.

This is me trying to change my tires and tubes on my bicycle, only to ruin everything. And I mean everything. Brakes are rubbing, I managed to puncture a brand new tube, both wheels make different scraping noises, the chain is loose, and first gear doesn't work (on a 3-speed).
