This is actually a situation where both things are true. 'Pure gold' doesn't tarnish, that is correct. But most jewelry made of gold is not pure gold. It is often an alloy, since pure gold is very soft (very easy to bend and scratch), which is why gold jewelry can tarnish. Chains and piercings in particular, would definitely not be made of pure gold. Otherwise, they wouldn't be functional.

Hi Kaizer, this sentence needs correcting. "the reason why Blake could get her piercings and gold chains wet without them tarnishing from the moisture." In reality, gold does not rust. Pure gold is a noble metal, meaning it's highly resistant to chemical reactions and oxidation, making it resistant to rust and tarnish.

This feels like a pivotal chapter. Allister and his harem have assembled (minus Lyla?!? I no likey😐). People, I love IDH, and it was what brought me here, but I'm seriously here for Combat Healer like a million fucking percent. Absolute fire, Chief!

That is a fair point. With everything she has been throught plus lacking the same level of nurturing and training as her older sisters. Diffinity some serious psychological trauma. Allister has his work cutout for him to build up his concubine princess.

Well, if you think about it, as a princess she was almost killed and suffered some traumatizing experiences. But as a concubine, she is under her master's protection and has no reason to be afraid (such as when that short guard, Edgard, tried to grab her and Allister stepped in and protected her from even being touched). There definitely may be some psychological issues going on though, due to the trauma she's experienced.

I think Princess Erika may have fallen too deeply into the Jasmine persona. She seems to become too dependent. Sounds like Allister is running the risk of going to the dark side a little too easily.
