The crow scene was extremely well written and did a great job of building intensity. Extremely excited to see what disaster is on the horizon. Like similar comments, I also felt that the description of Sera was a little too repetitive to the point it felt redundant. Interesting aspect to the story and hopeful that this story arc has put Allister in a place he needs to be to deal with the impending crisis. Would be unique to see that fate led him here for something bigger.

I like the build up with tension back at home and at the whore house. I will say it did seem like paragraphs of descriptive writing about Sera’s looks. It seemed to take up the whole storyline between her and him.

As far as Sera goes, the details of her gold lipstick, the nipple chain, the diaphanous cloak were interesting and oddly erotic. So, would it be common for a healer to become emotionally and physically attracted to those they heal? Is that a big reason most of the female healers are fuck toys for their teams?

IRL crows really are super intelligent as Astaer described them. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that proverb she quoted would have been a historical one. Historically crows have anticipated ambushes, battles, plagues, etc, and gathered in anticipation of a feast. Yes, crows feed off corpses of humans, horses, mules, dogs, etc.

I like the crows as a show of an ominous premonition especially since a group of crows is called a "murder". As for Sera I felt the description was well done and definitely helped paint a picture of her in my mind. Would be interesting if some artwork of her was created and it matched the picture I have in my imagination.
