The great depression and the 2008 recession are both credit crashes. That are, at the most fundamental level created by countries “borrowing” money (aka creating credit), like a person would borrow from a bank. Socialist countries all have debts and create credit. So they will all experience depressions and recessions mechanically speaking. Eliminating capitalism just removes one engine of value creation. Which for all its flaws is the best one humanity has come up with so far (we should evolve and improve it though). Humans have been creating booms and crashes for 2000 years across the world often with disastrous consequences (think revolts and civil collapse). We just seem to love borrowing money and paying it back “later”.

@Andrew hey gamer man love your content and this is def another banger. Dr. Jill-Stine cited a stat that half our budget is being spent on our military. Ive heard this stat a lot and def agree that we spend wayyyy to much on military but when I look up what the congressional budget is for the military its only 13% instead of near 50. So am I misunderstanding what they mean by congressional budget or does publications of this stat try to hide that fact by being technical in the definition, by only mentioning what specifically goes to military only. Any help from anyone would mean a lot, no worries if your too busy ik u got bigger fish to fry :)

Trump is labeled as the devil who hates immigrants, yet he also complained that NAFTA created jobs in Mexico. Not that his criticism of Trump was necessarily wrong. The problem I have with some of these people is that, just as the far right denies natural sciences like medicine, pharmacology, or climate science, they deny economic science. They may be right on most other topics, but this approach won’t solve much in a poor country.

This was a GREAT video. I love the subject matter, as we all should, but the editing flow stood out to me more than usual. The way you let people engage with events and say "their truth", which in this case actually aligns with "the truth" and clipped in tone relevant music and the relevant source media clips... GREAT.
