How is investigating Ngo's not a leftist idea? Ngos are largely being funded by the ultra wealthy or the government (which is ran by the ultra wealthy). Without government oversight and funding ngos can just do whatever they want, but with government insight there might be many conflicts of interests which ruins the entire point of organizations being outside the institution. I have no issue with trying to cut down spending and making sure that tax dollars are being used appropriately, but I do have an issue with how this administration and, specifically, Musk are going about it. You don't drop bombs and then say, "Alright, everything is blown up. Let's go do analysis and figure out who/what we should have targeted." Do the analysis and implement changes as the data comes in.
