Bit of a late upload here. Here's some quick coverage that our Canal Cinco correspondent, Andrea, did about the ongoing dispute in Mexico City about them mayor's decision to remove the states of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara from a public park where the two once hung out and plotted the Cuban Revolution.

Personally, I am against the glorification of any human being; the less statues of any human, the better. This opinion comes from growing up in communist Cuba and seeing murals/statues/quotes/pictures of Fidel,Ché, Camilo... in every single corner. Idolization is a dangerous thing... I sympathize with the protesters, just like I sympathize with my grandmother's patriotism. Relieve did reign my mind when seeing that the majority of the protesters were from an older generation. May Idols be a thing of the past and may the next generation question every ideology that gets put in their way. Sincerely, just another Cuban waiting in vain

I'd love to have a quick breakdown of this video in the next 5Cast. I'm catching the big names like Zapata but i'd love to know more about all these things the protesters are referring to

Nah fuck that, remove them damn statues. I don’t give a shit about the history. These people did such horrible things to the people of Cuba. It’s so insane that people fall for these stupid ideals. They’re not Cuban heroes. These people are delusional, best thing I can compare them to is the extreme right trump idealism that exists here today. The guy they interviewed with the red shirt is wearing a Hugo Chavez shirt. It’s insane.

Amazing how well educated these folks in Mexico are about their revolutionary history. People in the US don't know a speck of history in comparison.

This is the coverage I want to see of Latino America. The stories that mainstream media in the US will not show

Hey, just a quick note, when the old man calls the mayor "de pacotilla", it's not the name of a literal place but a figure of speech in Spanish that means "of low value" or "of low quality". It's a colloquial way of calling someone or something shitty.
