Jimmy Fallon's Tonightmares with Griffin Newman and Ben Hosley (Second Gate)
🕑 Added 2024-10-30 07:05:28 +0000 UTCJohnny Carson didn't have Tonightmares. Neither did Steve Allen. Jay Leno had Tonightdreams.
Only one Tonight Show host in history has had TONIGHTMARES.
That host's name is JIMMY FALLON.
Finally, you can pay money and witness these Tonightmares in New York! (in a haunted maze found near 30 Rockefeller Plaza)
Podcast: The Ride's NYC correspondent Griffin Newman took his Blank Check producer Ben Hosley to experience this unique situation and report back to us.
Will Griffin and Ben love this experience as much as Jimmy loved doing a segement with Coldplay's puppet band "The Weirdos?"

Wow griffin only monopolized 75% of the talking this time. We’re making progress.

Was not prepared for the 11th-hour plug for Gatorland! Kudos, Pro-Doer Ben.

You should send these same two to the Squid Game experience in MYC. Griffin probably has a hookup but let me know.

Is there a more Jason Sheridan quote than, “I don’t wanna go on a tear about banana pudding…”?

I think another episode of just all the Jimmy branded stuff is def needed like they suggested. Just watching the shock as they learned more and more is what I need

I feel like Griffin may have been a bit too critical of this attraction. I do admit it was overpriced for 10 mins of entertainment. But from videos I've seen, the sets, costumes, and props look pretty great.

Ben has hinted that his persona on Blank Check is a bit of an exaggeration, but I really felt the contempt for Jimmy Gestapo lover and welcomed it.

I think it’s Peppo

This whole explanation made my stomach hurt. Does anyone tune into this nazi enabling monstrosity on purpose, or is it all senior citizens who fell asleep during the evening news?

Sounds terrible. I didn’t realize he was only 5’ 9”. As the quintessential high school “class clown” who was liked by all the girls but who was in reality nothing but a good looking hack, I don’t mind seeing him knocked down several pegs and anticipate several pegs more. For someone who was given everything he ever wanted, it was disgusting to hear how shitty he is to the people who work for him. Jimmy Fallon should check his privilege and be a decent guy, because he isn’t funny and he’s responsible for at least one fascist president.

Yeah Griffin is good. No one - including anyone involved in the ideation and building of Jimmy Fascist’s Tonitemares (gross)- has or will ever put so much thought into this stupid slapdash county fair level time waster. That’s a compliment.

The Hos was so good. Every line hit

Yeah it's kinda random. I guess the abr owner was Jimmy's favorite bar tender in NYC. I think this is newer but I hear about it every year or so for the past 4 or 5 years about him coming and taking over on of the guys bars and usually breaking out his guitar. I guess be usually stays at the woodcliff hotel. Hearing hates spending time with his family and is a functioning alcoholic makes the trip male way more sense as while Fairport is a nice pleasant village someone as rich as Jimmy's Fallon could go to much better vacation spots lol

Griffin is good!

Now I need to know when this episode was recorded. Has the PTR curse extended beyond 80 year olds? Did it hit one direction?

Griffin is good! Ben is also good, but Ben needs something he can be passionate about next time!

This episode reminded me of how Jimmy Fallon comes to the town I grew up in every year to hang our with one of his old friends who used to live in NYC. Jimmy's friend owns a few bars in the town and Jimmy comes and hangs out and basically plays his guitar for whoever happens to be there. It's never advertised and Jimmy never comes the same weekend but seems pretty regular he shows up once a year unannounced. As soon as he gets there they lock the doors and don't let anyone else in. https://youtu.be/9PhsSrxJaLE?si=2gDjfVRh05gDH6Pk Its in Fairport, NY outside Rochester, NY (1 hour east of Buffalo, NY)

This made me realize the boys need an episode investigate celebrity children’s books. Also happy to hear Hoz on the show but I’d love him to come on for something more up his alley (I feel like he would have a lot to say about some scumbum NJ place or carnival/general carnie culture) edit: I finished the episode and Gatorland is exactly the kind of scumbummery I was thinking. And Griffin is of course very good.

Yeah kind of short for a Griffin Goldie episode.
Trace Carter
Stoked as hell for Gatorland with Ben Hosley.

It's telling that when Griffin explains the Hastag Panda bit, I was expecting the outcome to be that the panda hates his jokes, and turns off the TV. That's what the Conan ending would be. Of course Fallon needs the panda to love his show to the point of dancing.

Ok this time it really sounded like Jason said “Jackal”. Is it jackal or Jekyll???
