Dopamine Reset
🕑 Added 2024-07-22 19:24:52 +0000 UTCDopamine is know as the feel good hormone and it's released when we really like something and therefore an imbalance can become a problem with addictions such as illicit substances or pornography or other unwanted behaviours including social media. This resets the natural levels of dopamine in the brain. It doesn't boost it, but resets it so that the mind can relax. We are constantly being overstimulated in ways that doesn't seem natural to the body . I did make a file for bad habits but that is focused on willpower and not the resetting of the nervous system. Since the 90s, we have been bombarded with progressive overstimulation. It began with TV which evolved into 24/7 channels. This then evolved to behaviours online and sometimes both at the same time. This has resulted in an increase of ADHD and other disorders that were not prominent before the bombardment began. I will do a separate post on ways to ground and reduce the stimulants.

Let's hope we can break you free! I went for years without a phone but I let it in briefly in 2021 and it became the bane of my existence. If we didn't need it for everything especially banking I could do without it but I've completely stripped it down to the bare minimum

thanks so much for this man. ive struggled with addiction my whole life . beat other stuff but still struggle with tvs and phone. thank you really. should i loop this overnight to help my addicted brain? im currently on a 4 day binge of straight dopamine and i feel fucked
