Ofc he will be fine, but let's just use Multiverse of madness as an example. When Charles Xavier roled in he had no idea who it was. So that meant nothing to him. To most people it was absolutely epic. This isn't just about him enjoying the movie, it's about him getting the most possible enjoyment out of it.

I mean, it's not about who the character is, it's about the history of the character. Obviously he is going to enjoy the movie massively without those references, but not as much. As someone who has seen all of the Marvel movies, just seeing the actor without being "introduced" was fucking magical. Just as it was for most people in the cinema.

Pepper jelly yeah exactly people keep saying he needs to but all they are really doing is spoiling the movie for him. There are 3 characters in it that have their own movies and I’d only seen fantastic 4 but hadn’t even seen that In many many years and didn’t remember anything and still completely understand the story

Josh Bruner I have to say that doesn’t really make sense for the following reasons 1) those movies never win the poll they’ve been on it several times 2) wouldn’t that be a spoiler if he knew the movies? They introduce those characters for people who don’t know 3) i know what 3 movies you are talking about and i only saw one of them before Deadpool 3 and it was many many years ago and didn’t remember anything about it and still enjoyed Deadpool 3 tremendously

Strongly disagree. There are 3 movies he should watch before watching DP&W; without them those special parts of the movie will be completely missed. We’ve seen the movie, we watch Alex for his reactions. Why rush the reaction and miss out on some of the best reaction moments???

I don't think that's necessary at all. The only reference that matters is something he'd know exists in the universe. It's widely known who that character was and who played it.
