Double-barrel and self-body physics!

This one was a challenge to build due to how unique it is, mainly the two-trigger & two-chamber setup. Our firearm system is designed to create rapidly most modern weapons, but we generally avoid adding features for highly specific edge cases like the double barrel to keep the system lean. Thanks to how modular it is, I managed to create a solid implementation using our exposed functions. Weapons like this are great templates for the SDK, we’ll include them to help modders build more advanced weapons.
Now, about the weapon itself, some fun stuff to point out:
When you load a shell into the left chamber, your character will automatically press the rear trigger.
If there’s no usable shell in the left chamber, your finger will switch to the front trigger and fire the right barrel instead.
Opening the barrels ejects consumed shells automatically.
And since it's fully physics-based, you can close the barrels in many ways: against a wall, your body, by swinging it, etc..
You probably haven’t seen self-body physics in a while, that’s because we had to rework it. It’s now back in, and I show in the video how you can use your arms and legs to close the barrels.
I also added a second video in a second post showing it in action against zombies. (Can only post 1 video per post on Patreon) Right now, all weapons deal the same type of damage and physics impulse, but that’s something we plan to improve.

This double barrel is super similar to how H3VR does it's weapons. Very impressive! Just a couple of things to note: - The spent shells don't seem to get that iconic blown out "star" pattern out from when the shell is spent. This could go hand in hand with primer dimples, which would help distinguish at a glance fired and unfired cartridges. - It seems to eject the spent shells immediately. This isn't how these break actions work. The extractor moves as the breach is opened. In simple terms: It needs to break open more before ejecting the spent shells! - An option/firemode to fire both barrels at once would be a fun thing to include, but it's not exactly "realistic" so I get why you wouldn't do this. This is a extremely solid representation of a double barrel shotgun Well done!

Hehe no, this is just temporary spawners we use for our testing. You'll use a different tool to spawn items in sandbox mode.
