Another week of Avatar!!! This episode was absolutely nuts! Well, to be honest, I feel like it didn't add too much to the overall story and seemed liked a little bit of a side quest episode, but it was entertaining AS HELL!
Fucking wacked out dude looking like he drank bleach hahahahah! And actually this episode felt a little Monty Python-ish.

Movie: spawn of Satan and is complete doo doo cheeks. Netflix live action: Decent, it had good moments, some eh moments. But I think overall it did good for what it was. (Formatting a slow paced animated show to a faster pace 8 episode live action is pretty difficult).

You say that, and yet the live action show has a 9.4 rating from the people that watched it, not critics, and the movie was only a 4... Clearly, that shows that the majority of people thought the t v series live action was good, and you're just being a hater.

Yeah I do like some of the things they added like the context to who Zuko saved before he got his scar. As well as the scene where Iroh is captured is done better imo actually giving a connection to the earth kingdom soldiers and what Iroh did in the past. But yeah nearly everything else they added or took away was shit. Like I said Iroh and Zuko’s actors are the best part of the show but they can’t carry it by themselves

No, both live actions were horrible. The arrogance, stupidity, and audacity of the Netflix writers to attempt to rewrite the story is disgusting. If they had stuck to the original story and allowed the actors to properly represent those characters it could have been good. They did uncle iroh especially dirty.

It’s so heartwarming but also makes me so sad for some reason when bumi and aang hug. Like at least one of aang’s friends from 100years ago are still alive, but bumi has seen so much war and become king, which is why it’s great he helps aang learn that he can’t rely on thinking like an airbender because that’s not his only element anymore. But just seeing how young aang is and how old bumi is it just breaks my heart. Bumi probably thought aang was dead or never coming back for the past 100 years

The movie is good if you want to get pissed off. I low key find it entertaining seeing people watch how bad it is lol. The live action show is definitely worth the watch in my opinion! If you watch the movie and the live action show, definitely watch the movie first!

My opinion you need to skip "Previously on Avatar", this can slightly reduce the impression of the future episode, especially in the next seasons. Somewhere the moment of surprise can be lost, etc. About Intro - this is already at your discretion.

he know’s he’s the avatar because of the literal name of the show. Aang is the avatar.. he is also *the last airbender* hence, any airbending that happens must originate from the avatar.

Oh god the avatar movie is dog shit. The live action series is pretty mid Zuko and iroh’s actors are great but the pacing is really off they try to cram 3-4 story arcs into one episode to save time and it just doesn’t work. Also some of the things they changed ruined a lot of the character development and plots that show up in book 3

id say skip but totally up to you. Also the movie was absolutely terrible. The live action netflix series was decent. It had its issues but overall, imo, its decent. Hoping they learned from their mistakes in the first season and fix them in the second season

It probably had to be broadcast with "previously on" recaps, what with the length of time between episodes and whole seasons. But I first saw this series when it dropped on Netflix and I accidentally ended up binging it. It was easy enough to keep track of who was who and what was what without the recap. And there was a point I started avoiding the recaps entirely because the subject matter they covered ended up spoiling the content of the episode. "Oh, we're going to see THIS certain character again, because..."
