Ok. This is the FIRST episode where Aang actually annoyed me and pissed me off a little bit. I understand that the kid is like 12 but really he's 112! I don't know what it was about this one. Maybe he is just anxious and excited to learn, but he was ANNOYING.
That being said, he is such a cool character and likable dude, so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt! The honest truth is he is such a fucking badass, but yeah, this episode was a little frustrating.
Proved to be an awesome episode int he sense of Aang learning a lesson. That was really cool to see!

I know you’re long past this, but just wanted to add my own thoughts cuz I’m seeing these reactions for the first time: Aang has been frozen for 112 years, he hasn’t lived 112 years. His wisdom is literally just a 12 year old. Anything that does pertain to wisdom was what he learned being an air bender raised by monks with Buddhist related beliefs

Do a video for each book. It is the most popular format of doing reaction for ATLA outside of a video per episode. This will get you more views than the entire series in one video. HOWEVER, I personally think you should split book 3 into 2 video for reasons I cannot get into at this point in time.

Aang might have been born 112 years ago, but he was in the ice for 100 of those years. He was in a sort of limbo, not growing (physically or mentally). So he's 112 years old technically, but he's only 12 in terms of maturity.

Definitely think you should do a video per book. I think it would be cool for people to see the progression of each book. Plus, the books are vastly different, so that would be one absolutely hell of a long and almost confusing video.

The thing with Aang is that, yeah, technically he’s 112, but he was frozen for 100 of those years, not aging or growing up, he still has the body and mentality of a 12 year old kid. At that age, everyone was impetuous and impatient and stupid and insecure. Aang hasn’t had the opportunity to grow past that yet.

Aang was raised by monks so that’s why he has that wise and spiritual disposition, but he truly is just 12 years old. After waking up he assumed he had only been in the ice for a few days :P I totally get your frustration with aang this episode though. He isn’t ready for fire right now, but that’s what character arcs are for lol (also to be fair to aang, he was taught air bending by gyatso in a very gentle and playful manner. There was no way for him to Be ready for fire yet, but in his mind this could very well be his only chance to learn fire bending, so he felt like he had to at least try)

I would personally suggest each book it's own video. That's still a lot of content but gives people more to look forward to. And anyone who loves this show will tell you that each season is better than the one before it. You mentioned the music in a previous reaction. That's the thing that first really hit me the first time I watched it. In the first 2 episodes, I enjoyed the fun, and action, the characters, but in parts was this undercurrent of something deeper in the music. I found it very compelling.

Honestly, I feel like getting the whole show in one video will free up some time to release other stuff in its place. It’ll be a lot of work for either Aaron or the new guy, but the entire show in 1 vid will be a blessing i swear

He is 112 years old, in that he was born 112 years before the events of the series. He is also 12 years old, physiologically and mentally, as the 100 years spent frozen meant that he didn't actually age.
