Okay I'm really sick of this toxic group. Why is it that whenever "kids" movies get suggested, y'all hate? It's called nostalgia. Some people like to remember the good old days when life was easier with the movies we loved as kids and we just want to experience that with Alex. If y'all don't like it, leave. I know it but if 1917 is on the list… Just the cinematography and editing techniques alone are winning in my book a hundred times over. Train to Busan would be from a storytelling perspective my second choice. But Scott Pilgrim would win Narnia any day.. too much religious stuff for my tolerance.

Same here. My family has worked in the industry in different fields for years (VFX, production,etc.), myself included (less though). It’s fascinating to see what people notice and what they pay attention to. I’m more of a cinematography/VFX, sound design and editing style viewer than storytelling for example. I’m pretty sure you would love The Media Knights, great production quality, and great eye for detail and knowledge of filmmaking.

The 5th Element has been in polls for a total of 7 times so far, but always lost to a teen flick or some other nonsense.. Wish he would do a 90's movie month or smth. With 2 outside editors I feel he could easily do 8 movies in 4 weeks (on top of the 1-2 series he does as well) since he also edits himself (or at least did some editing before, dunno if he does it anymore).

I don’t know if anyone has posted it but this is a fun fact for Alex. The actor who plays Prince Caspin in the next Narnia movie is the same actor who played Billy Russo in The Punisher. Weird connection there.

I couldn't finish the Narnia franchise, personally. Now 1917 and definitely Train to Busan would be my choices but 🤷‍♀️ Honestly, you can see how Alex, and his community, differs from say Natalie Gold or Reel Rejects who have film backgrounds. I also have a film background, which is probably why I have subscriptions to many different channels. I like to see what everyone picks up and how each focuses on different aspects. I have hope that eventually the films I love will be chosen over the more younger demographic stuff.

I honestly love the smooth way they handled cuts, and the ruff atmosphere, that perfectly matches reality. But i suppose you have a point, because there aren’t many voice lines, cuz he’s just by himself half of the time. But great action. I can therefore see evidence for either!😊

We old folks know the Narnia story, it had a tv show in the late 80s and the books have been around for way longer than that. I have only seen the first of the new Narnia movies, and I remember it looking good but feeling pretty watered down compared to the show.
