One thing that the books do so much better than the movies is capture how much of an emotional toll Ron's absence takes on both Harry and Hermione. They both go weeks without even talking. The dancing scene in the movies though is such a great touch and considered to be a fan favorite scene

the reason this movie feels slower, is cause it's only part 1 of 2 movies based on only 1 book. And this isnt even the longest book, i believe thats Order of the Phoenix and i also believe thats the shortest movie funny enough

This one used to be my least favourite film, but it's now my 2nd fav in the entire series. The pacing is slower, but it allows for so many great character moments and unique touches like the animated Tale of Three Brothers scene. Ranking: 1. Prisoner of Azkaban (best director BY FAR, and is the only movie that is BETTER than the book itself) 2. Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 (for reasons stated above) 3. Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 (battle of hogwarts could've been executed better) 4. Order of the Phoenix (did a better job of cutting out non-essential stuff from the books) 5. Philosopher's Stone (nostalgic) 6. Goblet of Fire (also not the greatest adaptation of the book but still fun) 7. Half-Blood Prince (worst job of adapting the BEST book in the series) 8. Chamber of Secrets (worst plot imo)

Wormtail “technically” commits suicide. His own magical silver hand (given to him by Voldy) chokes him out when Wormtail hesitates to recapture Harry in Malfoy Manor. Like the movie, you see Wormtail go down to the Malfoy dungeon, but unlike the book, Dobby doesn’t disarm/kill him.

If I remember correctly they tried to do something for George's ear but Snape hit him with a really dark spell and couldn't do anything about it

they cant use the time turner too much, cause like dumbledore said, its a mysterious thing, time, and dangerous to meddle with it or whatever. They dont jsut rewind time, their current self, goes back in time, so they have to worry about not being seen by their past self, since that would fuck you up severely if you saw yourself from the future doing shit that you dont yet know about (and some people attacked their past/future self after spotting themselves). As for Hermione's parents not knowing aobut the obliviate spell, they aren't wizards, they're both muggles and although they know about magic they wouldnt remember they knew about magic and probably not remember taking the photos and not blame it on magic, since they dont know magic exists anymore.
