Some other great films that wouldn't be made these days are the Rush hour films, absolute classic comedies. Rewatched them the other day and they are still hilarious. Highly recommend watching them

I'm bi-sexual myself who grew up in the 80's and sometimes I miss when bad characters in movies could say racist homophobic things in a way because allowing people to hear it often shows them how bad it sounds. So many people (me included) have been begging for Alex to pause while talking because it's his first time watching most movies on here so if he doesn't he misses jokes and plot points a lot. Since most people watching the reaction have seen the movie before it makes sense that the pauses can feel irritating but it's important for him especially for movies like Lord of the Rings where a lot of the information is given in dialogue (and often also between the lines). So I really hope he keeps doing this to not ruin longer and more complex movies.

I think most people like Impulse and myself much prefer him pausing as as someone who watched him to the whole MCU marathon when he talks over the movie, (its fine cause I've seen it) but he misses so much and then gets confused and asks answers to something that was just answered or something he should know that's important to the movie so! I think this is growth!!!

You've never had trouble talking over the movie before which has been awesome but this pausing thing... maybe it's just me and I have to get use to it. I agree with the sentiment that we can all calm down a little bit with being offended by everything. The pendulum has swung a little too far, an over-correction. That also doesn't mean we should completely revert back. It's a balance. Unfortunately one person's "Golden times" is the same time where I was being beaten up while being called a Fag. Common sense is not using Fag in present times, while also realizing this was a fun dumb movie from the past that we can just enjoy.
