They did use the force a bunch in the clone wars too but were mainly sword fighters, and vise versa for this show because they dont have the sword training.

When you say rebels I think most people would think of the rebel soldiers and other people apart of the rebellion like in the movies 4, 5, 6, and Rogue One fighting the Empire. The Ghost Crew are rebels too but not the only ones

Honestly it's perfectly fine to not remember every character/planet/event from the Star Wars universe, it's a big franchise with a ton of content after all. For many of us that have grown up with Star Wars and watched the movies and shows dozens of times, it seems natural to know every character and their entire backstory, but expecting it from someone who has watched every movie/show only once is just unrealistic. I suppose some people here might just be sad that you sometimes cannot recognize the significance of a character appearing on screen or a specific reference, but that's absolutely not your fault. And the more Star Wars shows and movies you watch, the more familiar with the world you will become :)

No, the crew on the ghost are not exclusively the “rebels”, they are just one of countless groups of rebel insurgencies across the galaxy, this show focuses primarily on this group tho

as tarkin explained in the episode, there are multiple factions of rebels, the ones we are following are the phoenix squad. some others you’ve been exposed to are saw gerrera’s extremist group and the main group from the original trilogy with han, luke, leia, lando erc

The Rebels are a whole group, luke, leia, han, lando, bail organa, all considered rebels, they are just split into rebel cells, our crew is just 1 cell of rebels

Yes they are part of the Rebellion (kinda) but they do help with what the Rebellion eventually becomes. And to answer your question there are multiple books even in Rebels and Kenobi outright hating the Empire and fearing them because of what they are capable of.

If you say Rebels the Fandom would usually think of the Rebel Alliance in the original trilogy. Unless of course it's said in a specific context.

I think there is a case to be made that the Jedi are dead. I mean Obi Wan is a Jedi, true, but Kanan for example was only a padawan at the time of order 66, so he never became a Jedi and the Jedi Order is no more. Not every force user is a Jedi by default even if they life by the example of the Jedi.

All they did was steal supplies and stuff, not outright fought them unless it was absolutely necessary. But as the show went on, they became actual rebels against the empire
