Totally! It all depends on what you want to draw. Pinterest is a good place to go if you're looking for inspiration, references, or not sure what you like yet. There are fun things you can try drawing just for starters. You can also try imitating the style of your favorite comics and books, just to have some starting points. Then later, with enough practice and exploration, it can grow and become your own. YouTube also has some great tutorials and speed draws, where you can watch how other artists draw and the steps they take!

Are there any particular resources you would recommend to someone looking to learn how to draw? Also, what is the state of the world as of now? I'm vaguely aware of the anomalous regions, but I assume everything hasn't turned into total anarchy

Been drawing since I was four as a hobby, but began taking it seriously around 14. Began doing it as a job since 17. 🙌🏾 First my parents! I loved it when they drew for me. Then it was the books I used to read. 😊
