*NEW WORK* Blood Moon - Part One
🕑 Added 2021-05-06 17:07:22 +0000 UTCSo, after going back and forth on this for awhile, mostly cause I was unsure if this was something y'all would even be interested in, I've decided to release the first half of my fanfic exclusively on Patreon.
Okay, so a little backstory. I've always said that I would never write fanfic. That's not because fanfic is bad because I don't believe that at all. In fact, I LOVE reading fanfic most of the time, I just never thought that I would be capable of writing fanfic because I like to take control of my stories too much and it always felt limited to me.
Then me and my girlfriend got talking about Leah Clearwater from the Twilight series.
I'll admit, Twilight is one of those guilty pleasure of mine from my college days even though in a lot of ways it's complete trash -- especially the main couple, ugh -- but I've always loved a lot of the little bits of lore behind it because it felt fresh and new. I loved a lot of the side characters who rightfully should have had their own story because they were MUCH more interesting than Edward and Bella. And more than anything, I loved Leah, the Native American girl wolf in an all boy pack -- something that I used to relate with a lot in another life.
But anyways, the two of us started talking about how we could give Leah the story she truly deserved since she got shafted so much in the books and this is what I came up with. A dual POV story between Leah and an OC vampire named Sofie full of mutual pining, star crossed lovers, some omegaverse undertones and a nefarious plot brewing just under the surface.
Honestly, I love this story like it was my own original world. So much so that I've already been conceiving ways to change everything so that I could make it an original work and I haven't even finished the first of three stories I have planned.
So, even if you don't like Twilght (I wouldn't blame you) at the very least give this fic a chance because of the passion that I have writing it and the characters I've created for it. I think you might end up loving them as much as I do and who knows, maybe even having some fun on this crazy, fantastical tale I'm spinning.

I'm really happy to hear that you liked it! I've been working hard to get part two of this first book done so I can edit it and get it out for all of you so hopefully that will be something you get very soon.

Wow, this was absolutely brilliant. Sorry it took so long to get round to reading it . The social dynamics you have going on between the two tribes and families is both contemporary but timeless at the same time . I just love how Sophie and Leah are tentatively progressing along in their relationship. Such brilliant writing. Thank you , I'm really looking forward to seeing where you take them next on their journey. Oh and the biting and kissing scene was so hot .

Well I'll just say this, you won't believe where this story is going as a whole. The things I've planned for the trilogy have even caught me off guard so I hope it keeps you entertained.

I will say that I see aspects of Tug and Alex in Leah. I'm looking forward to seeing you explore the wolf/vampire couple dynamic more. With the way the wolf blood reacts to the vampire venom makes me wonder if a vampire may react differently to coupling with a wolf than everyone expects. Since its never happened, who knows what the results could be.

Well since I've never done a fanfic before I wanted to be able to establish those characters in case I wanted to use them later but when I go back and rework things I plan on redoing that whole chapter so it won't be as intense. As for part two, yes I am working on it right now. I actually just finished chapter 13 last night so I have six more chapters left and then an epilogue! And hopefully after that I'll have two more stories for these characters along with some drabbles I've already been working on. Lots of good content around this universe that I plan to put out.

I really liked it. I hope you are working on a part 2. The only part I didn't like was meeting all the Cullen clan in one fell swoop. Since I knew the story didn't revolve around them, I knew I didn't need to try to keep them all straight.

Wow! That's going to be a long read. Thank you for sharing it with us. I caught the movies one weekend when there was nothing else on and I napped through parts. Never read the books. Looking forward to this. But it may take a bit of time to read it. Your characters and stories are always a pleasure to read.
