```Foxy actually stepped in to the shove, slamming his back into Idren with a twist of his upper body and gripping that extended arm with both hands. With a forceful yank and a whirl of trenchcoat tail, Foxy threw the fighter over his shoulder, sending the bald man crashing forcefully into the ground with a thundering boom. “Oh my—oh my God,” Mary breathed in shock, both hands clutching her face. “Is he—” “Yeah, the guy from earlier,” Foxy said, deftly pinning his knee against Idren’s back and pressing him into the floor.``` Unless I'm missing something, the kind of throw you're (partially?) describing would result in him landing on his back. So, Foxy wouldn't be able to plant his knee into his back unless he rolled him over onto his stomach first.
(I really like this particular scene, I've read it at least a dozen times, however I've noticed some mistakes and awkward bits that I've selected below for you to consider and perhaps change. My words are in ( ) and I used [ ] too denote bullet points.) "Sulric loosened his shoulders and raised his shield to a ready position, ready to slowly stalk forward while sizing them his opponent, as he’d done countless hundreds of time in the past. But, he never got the chance" (the problem is the phrase "while sizing them his opponent") (This isn't a case of the wrong word, but the repeated reference to Idren seems out of place because it escalates in an awkward way. I'll sight the examples below.) "Fuck, she’s good. Better than Idren, maybe" (so we have the idea that she's in range or better then Idren.) [1st mention] "Sulric remembered being overawed by Marshall Wolfe’s skill back in his home territory of Belltania... but he couldn’t even begin to imagine Wolfe triumphing over this girl. Girl? This terrible force of nature." (Here we have presumably the best fighter Sulric knows being decisively out classed by Mara, but this is only the mid point on the power scale if you will as denoted by his revelations) [This is the second power comparison] "Maybe even IDREN can’t beat her" (Then we finish with this. Presumably Idren isn't better then Marshall Wolfe, but he's dismissed as unable to defeat Mara before the idea of Idren Losing is considered.) (So it's Idren, Wolfe, Idren. It feels up, then really up, then down in order to meet the final statement. she's good, she's a force of nature better then the guy who I'm in awe of, and then she's MAYBE able to beat this other guy who's brilliant and impassable, but not awe inspiring) " “I’m sure you think your friend is a great,” Mara cut him off with a shake of her auburn curls, “but, he’s not a sword-fighter. ..." (Here the problem is that Mara changes thought in mid sentence. If you take out the comment about her hair it would read "I'm sure you think your friend is a great but, he's not a sword-fighter.") I hope that helps.
