Follow the story; I'm reading for what happens next - I'm more interested in how Tabi moves forward than boner jams. Write; we're here to cheer you on (and say how WE'D write it) (and how you missed a comma on sentence 37 between word 11 and 12) - be inspired by our comments but assured we are here listening because of your vision and writing.

Tuppence: 8 and 8a both move the story forward. The perspectives are different, the insights are different. IMO they are complements; moving forward blend the two. (encourage to keep it up; watching and liking Trailer Trash - interesting chrono concept: a "what if you didn't care about the future and could rewrite the past?")

Thank you! Sometime mid-month, I'd suppose. I should have the first half ready and posted here on Patreon by tonight.

I really like the Trailer Trash story. When will then next chapter post to RRL?

FortySixtyFour

I think several of the pts here got combined for RR release, I know as I was posting them there I was rewriting a fair amount.

Great story! why are you posting this as pt 8 when on RRL it's pt 7?

I was hoping to see some romance eventually. I mean she seems to be of interest to enough boys that invites are inevitable. Though it is quite in character for her to blow off most guys in order to focus on her priorities. Maybe a library volunteer?

I'll definitely work on putting together a list soon. Quite a few of them I rarely check for comments on, and I feel bad replying to people with questions four months late.

If you don't want to post to Lit, maybe you can put links to the other sites where you post up on your front page here? That way people who follow you here on Patreon, but aren't able to pay (like me) can still read your non-erotic works.

HornsOfTheseus

Even without erotica, it could still be posted in the non-erotic category.

This was one of the more fun relationships to establish, because it's the first character that Tabitha can truly treat as a peer, because of their current similarity in age and their (past) future identities of 'hometown heroes.' Tabitha might be able to see Grandma Laurie as a peer, but her grandmother will never be able to treat her one, she'll always see Tabitha first and foremost as a granddaughter. A good deal of the story is about contrasting relationships between characters and using that to explore perspectives. One of the pitfalls I hope to avoid is having Alicia convert from skeptic to bestie in one sitting. I want to have the POTENTIAL for a great friendship be there, but to also show Alicia doubts and issues as things that are overcome one by one, rather than washed away right here in their first real chapter together. Friends at first sight is a favorite trope of mine (in regards to people finding kindred spirits) because it represents most of the best experiences in my life. However, friends that grow closer over time is even better (just much more difficult to pull off).

FortySixtyFour

Thank you! It can be hard letting go of the ideas I had, but I feel like this rewrite was very necessary.

FortySixtyFour

Probably not, there's no erotica at all planned for this story.

Estranged

Excellent rewrite! Thanks!

Much better this time around. Question: are you going to post this story to Lit?

So as fun and interesting as the magical backstory was this felt a lot more normal. A much more likely conversation. The other felt more like something you'd say to a fan at an authors book signing. Much improved. You can feel that Alicia is kinda hardened and expects betrayal so you can see why she comes to the conclusions she does. It seemed a little fast for her turn around, maybe mention her feeling guilty to show why she went to the library and decided to work with her. Tabitha actually had a smaller part to play (obviously), but a couple significant things happened. First you can see that she's not really as confident as everyone assumes. Usually she's just distracted, but here you actually see her nervous about asking for a friend. Second, you see her coming up with a plan for what to do about the cop. It's kinda cool to not really know what she's planning and have us figure it out as it happens. Having this section be from Alicia's PoV is a good reason to hide her thoughts about it. I dont remember you mentioning what happens to her cousins after her uncle takes his government mandated trip, she probably didn't care, since she didn't like them at the time. Now she's much more invested and I hope they dont end up being taken from her. She needs some people she likes nearby. That comment turned into a novel on it's own, sorry about that. Also, grats on how well this story is doing, I loved from the first chapter. I despise people bombing work like it seems to happen so much. Fuckin haters
