Hi when you made the simple thin ring did you use the helix and put it in to volume mesher to smooth or remesh? otherwise how did you make the seamless connect (start and end when they touch)?

Yes yes... right...thanks, it worked😍 ... I saw the file name showing in domlight so I thought maybe the HDRI is already attached😅.

you need to put an hdri into the domelight. I can´t share the hdri that i used, but its from polyhaven and its called machine_shop_01_8k.hdr . So when you have an hdri in your scene and you use redshift, then it should look like on the imgage. I just adjusted the contrast/color/sharpness a little bit in post.

Thanks a lot for this ... I have a question- when I rendered this out I got a bit non-glossy image, not like this thumbnail...did you do some post-processing/editing after rendering? Also, shadows are not coming the way it is on this thumbnail, in my render, it's like one big shadow for all objects together...not interesting like yours
