I just rejoined the Task Force tonight. I missed this show a ton and really wanted to listen again. My favorite thing about this show was breaking down episodes to my wife you loved mysteries but wasn't really into podcasts. Sadly I lost her earlier this month and her memorial was tonight, after that I decided to rejoin and start listening again. This episode would've fascinated her.

This was awesome! I can’t wait to hear the task force’s therapy about Bobby Kennedy and the theory behind his death. Was it the mafia and Bobby and JFK’s dad’s ties with them, or was it racists who didn’t like that Bobby was close with MLK JR or the CIA again? A good book to read is “The Dark Side of Camelot” talks about the dirty secrets of the Kennedys!

It’s not that crazy to think the government would assassinate their own president. You gotta remember JFK was going against a lot of the norms and against a lot of the things the government was doing. He was making a lot of people in powerful positions very angry with how personal views and what he wanted to change in the country, including racial stuff and I believe lgbt stuff. Also I’m surprised nobody mentioned X-men days of future past during the magic bullet section do the podcast.

I'm surprised at how skeptical they are of the CIA conspiracy theory, considering they had already done an episode on MK ULTRA and had already heard of how rogue and unaccountable the CIA and its leadership was at this time in history. Also kinda wish they had mentioned more about how many enemies JFK actually had at the time, and the foiled prior attempts on JFK's life.

Zapruder asked that the original publication of the film be censored, specifically the frames showing the actual fatal headshot. But the full film was since become available.

I worked at the JFK Presidential Library & Museum for a bit, and we had some strict rules on certain things we weren't allowed to talk about or answer questions about and one of them was anything to do with conspiracy. We had to shut down any questions immediately. The other big thing was Marilyn Monroe lol

Wild thing i saw, but never could confirm was that the memorial was created and closed in the depository because the angle to shoot out the window would need the person to hang upside down

An oversight in fact checking in the episode: The Zapruder film was NOT the only film of the event. It was the clearest and most complete film of the shooting, which is why it was the most cited record.
