MEMO: Original Red Web Logo Mock-Up
🕑 Added 2024-06-04 17:00:05 +0000 UTCExactly 4 years ago, on June 4th, 2020, Red Web was still materializing from a dream. We were a month away from our official launch, and I was working with our friend and co-worker Michele Everheart on the Red Web branding. This is the original mock-up I put together and sent her way, leading to the logo you've come to know over the years.
It's amazing to look back at this rudimentary image and see how similar our wonderfully polished logo is now. This is a glimpse at a pre-launch Red Web: Before Baby Hands, before I dragged Alfredo to haunted locations across the country, before the Task Force HQ broke ground on the first subterranean base.
As simple as this image is, it has us reflecting over the last 4 years. From first beginnings to new beginnings, it almost feels fated that we're here now in "Season 2" with you all - independent, going strong with your support.

what I love from this, is that what separates this image (which feels generic) and the final version (which is tight) is a simple "scrathc" or what I see as "VHS tracking" effect. just a thought that sometimes simple changes can make big differences

Forever in love with your logo.

Seeing the vision vs result is SO cool, Michele really hit it out of the park with the logo. I've always loved how the spiderweb is also a spiral!

I'd love to hear about the threads that lead to Red Web's inception. What sparked the idea? How was that idea spun to form the format we all know now?

Cool to see where Red Web began! Crazy that it has been 4 years, it's been such a blast from the beginning. Heres to hopefully many more β€πΈ

And from this humble beginning, a cult (that is definitely not a cult) was born.

Happy to be here and see it flourish. I may not have been here right at the beginning, but I'll be damned if I don't stay to see it through.
