Yes! And it's part of the same ancient mountain range that became the Scottish Highlands and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Absolutely stunning area.

Devon Willingham

The Appalachian mountains are also one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world I believe. It’s over 1 billion years old and older than Saturns rings, trees, and life itself. So that could be a reason it’s so full of cryptids. I know they found a cave dating before life that had never been touched before. Or you know it could be because Appalachia is where moonshine was invented.

I don't know man

These guys look like the aliens from majoras mask

Bazooka Joe

One of my favorite Cryptids

A Cow Pi

A car of that era wouldn't have been affected by any kind of EMP because there's no electronics to fry.

A Cow Pi

Sounds like a bear that got burned by whatever the fire was. Like partially hairless.

I believe the owl theroy, but I don't understand them thinking a ten foot tall thing was originally a possum

The owl theory sounds most plausible to me. I could see the mind turning an owl on a stump into something really creepy in the right situation.

Worth noting the Appalachians are basically the capital of moonshine so if they came across a still hidden in the woods that could be the metallic cloak that they were seen and maybe with the pulsing light of a fire. Idk. I'm talking out of my hiney

I've been waiting on more Appalachian cryptids there's aplenty love the day we returned Task Force
