Super Dorfactory Month is officially UNDERWAY.
"...What is Super Dorkfactory Month??"
A quick recap:
- This month, anyone can submit ideas for alterations or additions to existing dorkfactory models/kits here.
- Three public votes will be held and the winners will all get made into models.
- Patrons and Tribers download the results!
Round 1... VOTE!
We've got a couple dozen really good ideas in the idea-submission channel of the dorkfactory discord. I selected a few that roughly represent the same amount of work and fit into a theme. If your idea wasn't selected, don't lose hope! There are still 2 more votes after this one and unsurprisingly most of the ideas are really great so hopefully you'll like the results anyway.
For the first round, I selected 3 alterations that roughly fit the theme of adding heavy weapons and additional armor. Here are the original ideas submitted and my thoughts on how the alterations will go:
1: Heavy Anomaly Hunters (base kit for reference)
Dorknotes:
This one is pretty straightforward. I'd add a handful of big honkin weapons and mayyyybe a melee weapon or two, possibly deck out the existing comms guy with more equipment and all of them would get some extra armor.
2: Armored Fanatical Cultists (base kit for reference)

I love the idea of making them seem a bit more crazed and ferocious. They'd be getting some new weapons, new poses and more armor to toughen them up a little.
3: Ranged Weapon SheDemons (base kit for reference)

After having such a good time adding ranged weapons to some demons last month, I'm very into doing it again! This time I'd just make some very weird looking guns that one would imagine a terrifying shedemon might prefer on the battlefield. They're already reasonably armored but I'd definitely add some weird, integrated post-human targetting and energy pack technology.
Alright! There are our first ideas. I've got plans for 2 more themes but that may change as more submissions come in.
I'm not going to give this first vote a hard cutoff but I will probably start working on whichever one is leading on Tuesday 10/4/22.

Hi, nice to met yoy again. I think that the armoured cultist needs some upgrade : they are a good idea but personally I would add some other diseased detail to their naked body: drainage tubes, prostheses, some possession details like demonic eyes and mouths, a second face, a few snail eyes, a third leg, etc. all details that make us understand the transformation they are undergoing ....

i have around 100 fully painted daemonettes, the harp one, a couple of other things - fully painted (not all based yet), and a primed lawnmower chariot - one of the largest GW sets (of a single kind of model) i own. cuz daemonettes, overall, are just super fun and cool. so fun, they ought to be orcs

keep in mind - she demons are all about fun https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1dQ6ZiMBulg/UBMhT_mVcwI/AAAAAAAABeY/TqG3XQgSHnU/s320/m2470776a_99129915011_ExaltedSeeker01_445x319.jpg the backstory to the lawnmower-chariot is that some daemonettes got assigned cleanup duty. after battles, they'd take the big lawnmower and grind up all the corpses wellllllllllllllll that was BORING, so they took it out during the middle of the battle to start chopping up everyone DURING the battle. of course NOW everyone wanted cleanup duty so they could drive around the battlefield having the best time ever.
