Hi, i keep getting this BE: "utilities\logging\version_handling.py\version_handling.py" i then looked at the BE report and found ".\BasementalDrugs_7.18.222-PATREON\Basemental\utilities\logging\version_handling.py\version_handling.py" and a couple others logs that are similar. so i then removed this mod and reopened my game and the error is gone. i know i updated this mod recently. would you be able to tell me whats happening? or could i send you the full report somehow? sorry for the long msg.

Yes you can do that, but if you use Zerbu's venue list you must not install mine, as you can only have one present in your mods folder.

Hey Base thanks for all you do!! Can I use Zerbus venues with your mods? I saved a lot while I was using Zerbus venues and now I can't change it. I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before, I am searching for it I just can't find the answer. Thanks Again!

Yes. You need to assign smokers through the settings. You won’t see npc’s smoke if they aren’t actually weed smokers

I made weed legal in all regions but I don’t see NPC’s smoking weed. If I increase the autonomy on weed will that make it more likely?

You won't see an increase in NPC's smoking weed on 420 or doing LSD on bicycle day. If you are in a criminalized region you won't see a lot of NPC's smoking weed outside either way. I feel it would be a bit silly and not very realistic if everyone that normally doesn't smoke weed suddenly smoked weed in the streets on 420

Do the holidays in this mod include autonomy for NPC’s? What I mean for example: Sacrificial mod has a killing holiday and if you leave your lot you will see NPC’s going around killing to meet the requirements for the holiday. So on the 420 holiday will I see NPC’s smoking weed?

hey , i keep getting an excpetion with the mod, \BasementalDrugs_7.17.173-PUBLIC\Basemental\utilities\logging\errorlogging.py\errorlogging.py", in the game it states : utilities\logging\version_handling.py\version_handling.py'

If you click on a sim and hit basemental, 'settings' should pop up! Click on that! There are a few options but scroll until you see 'reactions' and select that! It'll give you a few more options that you can choose from, i usually deselect all of them. i hope this made sense!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to make my Stoner sim stop being sad and getting the, “something is not right” buff? They are both weed heads so it makes no sense for him to be sad every time she gets high.

That's because it hasn't been added to the mod yet. That has nothing to do with the venue list, I'm afraid.

I have the latest version installed as well as the venue list and I cannot buy or legalize weed in ravenwood. It isn’t showing up as an option.

I haven't had this problem, but I'm looking through Scarlet's Realm (a site that helps you find what mods have been update, compatible, or broken) and I saw that the Venue List has been updated 11/01/2024 - Maybe try replacing that one? EDIT: It also says Drugs has had a last status change 10/23/2024, Gangs & Gambling 10/24/2024. So maybe there was an update that we just didn't notice? EDIT AGAIN: Nvm, I redownloaded to compare and it's the same ones as the latest ones (minus the venue's because the date modification when you download changes to whenever you download it)

HAHAHA I just added the Life's Tragedies mod and in one day my Sim witnessed two serial killers. Now she needs drugs!!! Thank you for making this mod. Sims 4 can get boring at times and needs some spicing up.

I deleted the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder and it worked for me! I was having the same issue.

This is a perfect example why you should not play with mods in your mods folder when a new patch drops until either the mod authors clears their mods or they fix them and tells you to dl the repaired versions. It’s the same every patch… If you haven’t already you should head over to the support channel on my discord server, I can’t promise it is fixable at this point but I can promise that we will look at it with you and try to help. The broken basemental broke my game to where all the sims appear to corrupted and I can't get to any of them to save them to my gallery. The builds I made are still there but all my sims are corrupted. I've updated the mods and keep trying to recover different saves but nothing is working.

I dont ever have many issues with this mod. I just make sure to udpate it when needed. My only problem right now is that ive downloaded this most recent update and when i open my game its still telling me it needs updated.

ALL of those mods were wrecked by the update so if you don't have updated files made like yesterday or today then they are probably still out of date. modders are working as hard and fast as they can to fix to update soon. hope this helps
