CANNABIS
First off, sorry this release took a bit longer than usual to wrap up. A lot of people have been asking for more cannabis strains for ages—and after diving back into it, I was quickly reminded why I’d been putting it off. 😅
I had high hopes (ba-dum-tss) of getting this out in time for 4/20, but that just wasn’t realistic in the end.
Adding new strains takes a lot of time because they’re connected to so many parts of the mod—rolling, smoking, growing, selling, buying, reactions, legalization, police busts, aspirations... the list goes on.
That said, it’s finally done, and I’m stoked to be bringing you some new strains at last. Hope you enjoy!
The Strains
The new strains I’ve added are Blue Dream, Gelato, Granddaddy Purple, and Sunset Sherbet—all popular favorites and well-known staples around the world today.
You can get your hands on the new strains through your local NPC dealer, the Dark Web, dispensaries, and similar sources. They’re not rare, so you should have no trouble finding them—either as seed packs for growing or ziplock bags ready to use.
I have tried and tested them thoroughly with blunts, joints, vapes, hookah and bongs, as well as planting, growing, harvesting and curing.
New Paraphernalia
I figured this update was the perfect chance to add some fresh artwork to new bongs, rolling papers, and blunt wraps.
You can find them at your local dispensary, headshop, or just grab them directly in Build/Buy mode.

Venue List
To make sure this mod works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List. I also recommend updating it whenever there is a new mod version out as I constantly add in new custom venue compatibility from other mod authors.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Delete your localthumbcache.package

I don't know if you have implemented it but for legalized cannibas there should be a tax on growing and selling. After all there is a RL license fee to grow it and sales tax to sell it. Thanks for the mod.

hi!!! i am having an issue with your mod, but i think it's on me, but i cannot figure it out. i used your discord server last night and got some help, but it didn't quite fix it. i installed this version of your mod, but for some reason my games loads and only reads an older version of the mod. i was wondering if i could get some help? i wanna say it may be a conflicting mod, or even some cc i could have..., but as far as i know i don't have any mods that conflict with yours. thanks for all you do!!
