Hey all,
Please be warned that if you don't want a sneak peek at what will most likely be the player's main sword, then you should avoid scrolling down any further. For everyone else, please continue.
Now that I'm testing a lot of the content, I've come back around to a decision that's been bothering me for a while. Many of you might remember me complaining a while ago about trying to find the right weapons for the MC, and I searched for quite a while to find something I thought was adequate. The problem is that there are 2 swords available in this pack, and I've been struggling to figure out which I prefer.
Now, months later, I've debated this for so long that I have no choice but to pass the decision off to the players.
I'll avoid giving any specifics other than the image and the style of the weapon to prevent any more spoilers than necessary.
Options are below:
The first option is a Longsword.
The second option is an Arming Sword.
The third option is, of course, having both available for the player to choose from.
Ideally, I would like to have both, but that will mean that I'll need to make 4 separate versions of most fight scenes rather than just 3. This choice won't affect the current release too much at all, but it would likely slow things down a little in the future.
Although, if you're like me, the only choice might be to have both, because, as they say: Variety is the spice of life.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks, and if you have any complaints or concerns, drop them in the comments.

If it were me choosing my own actual weapon, I'd want a longsword for the reach, but the arming sword in the renders above looks cooler, so it gets my vote. But either/both is fine too, really.

Honestly, I'm fine with either. I don't know if you've already decided with the ax and hammer, but, if they are two-handed, you might as well go with long sword to keep the same feel. Only thing I'd prefer is that, if all the weapons are one-handed, we get a shield as well.
