I feel like Sofia should be a little bit more Noble? If Adelhide is the royal progenitor then Sofia should be a first generation Noble with more urges and less control the more the blood is diluted? This is just my thoughts but I felt like sharing.

I'm thinking about doing combination elements like fire+earth= lava. Kinda like naruto's bloodlines

Considering the large variety of possible natural phenomena for magic to duplicate, I don't think having a single advanced element per basic one is a good direction. You can go for a large variety of advanced elements (that are advanced by virtue of being rare) that happen to have strong connections with some of the basic elements. For instance, there can be frost mages as well as acid magic. Both usually start as water mages. At the same time, Lava mages tend to begin as either Earth or Fire mages.
