Chapter 574: Godsfall War

“Your Majesty, what do you think of the Godsfall War?” The Godsfall War, or the grand war, was a terrifying war that reshuffled the power distribution in many systems, like the former Pangu System. The source of this disaster were the devils.
Devils were unnatural and natural beings.
Natural because devils themselves came into existence because of the birth of rules of the universe. All life had emotions, which were split into positive and negative emotions. Generally speaking, negative emotions were only temporary and would not change much. Even if someone killed another person because of those negative emotions, it was only a minor episode in the universal cycle.
However, there were exceptions. When the negative emotions reached a certain point, it would form an inner devil inside the cultivator. At this stage, the devil was only a second personality, but if the cultivator failed to overcome his inner devil, the inner devil would overtake his body, transforming him into a true devil.
The transformed devil can also cultivate and accumulate strength. In some aspects, it’s even easier than cultivators. Devils simply needed time and more negative emotions. So, when orthodox cultivators discover devils, they would do everything in their power to slay them. Even devilish cultivators were not spared because they dabbled in the fiendish art and had high chances of falling to inner devils. All the divinities thought they curbed the danger from the devils and focused on exploring the True Nothingness. Although it seemed empty, that was not true. It only appeared empty because of the vast distance it encompassed. If the divinities could discover a new system or a weak one, they would quite literally strike it rich.
Of course, weak systems referred to those without a divinity defending it. If they discovered a system with a divinity, the discoverer would gauge how many divinities guarded it and how strong each one was. If they were weak, the discoverer would directly attack, but if they were strong, they would call reinforcements.
Naturally, two systems of equal strength also clashed, such as the war between the Zeus and Odin Systems. The Pangu System also warred against the Veda System before.
It wasn’t until the Nine Hells Abyss barred its fang that all the divinities from different systems realized the true danger. Still, none of the divinities formed an alliance. The wars halted, but each one was confident in dealing with the devils without external aid.

Alone, no single system was strong enough to defend against the invasion of the Nine Hells Abyss. Unlike the other divinities, the Almighty was a powerful god of unknown origin. None of the other divinities knew which system it came from. The various divinities theorized that the Almighty’s powerful strength was due to this. Many divinities had attempted to fight the Almighty over newfound systems, but all of them lost. The unlucky ones directly perished under the Almighty’s hands.
However, this deterrence gave the alliance the greatest reassurance. The Almighty was even elected as the alliance leader.
Still, even with the powerful alliance leader, the war against the devils was a terrifying one. Although the various systems won, they paid an enormous price. Many divinities fell, causing the power balance to shuffle in their systems. Many devils even invaded other systems. They might not have destroyed them completely, but they broke them like how they broke the Primordial World of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. Even the Almighty was irrevocably injured by the devils and later perished from those injuries.
The powerful alliance disappeared, as many systems secluded themselves in order to recover. Some recovered faster than others, such as the renamed Herakles System.
Because of how many divinities perished, it was recorded as the Godsfall War by later generations.
“It was a great and terrible war. Fortunately, we have eliminated the devils,” the Concealed Emperor concluded. The ministers listened with interest. Although they learned about the history after the Buzhou Immortal Sect reorganized into the Immortal Court, they focused more on the history of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms itself. The records outside of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System were pitifully small. Not to mention this was a firsthand account by a divinity.
“But now, we have noticed abnormal movements from the Nine Hells Abyss once more,” Hyllus finished. “Our God King wants to renew the alliance of yore to strangle the threat in its cradle. He hopes to borrow the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System’s strength along with the other systems.”
“Oh?” The Concealed Emperor smiled. “Although the devils are a threat, the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System is protected by a barrier and not as affected.” He paused for a bit. “In addition, we can detect that the devils of the Nine Hells Abyss have not quite reached the level of multiple systems aligning.”
Hyllus’ brows twitched, but otherwise, showed no other change in his expression. “Although the devils have not reached the dangerous height as before, it’s still better to cull them before they become dangerous and prevent the previous tragedy.”
The Concealed Emperor nodded his head in agreement. “So, are you inviting only the Immortal Court, or do you have thoughts about the other forces?”
“If Your Majesty is talking about the Numinous Sword Sect, we do indeed have this plan.”
At his words, the other minister’s eyes lit up. It seemed that the demigods did not know about the Buddhist Pure Lands. They could already guess Hyllus’s plan. By inviting them and the Immortal Court, he could weaken the power of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. Although his words claimed that the goddess was alive, it implied that the goddess perished since the Herakles System has not received any information from her since the grand war. Still, the Concealed Emperor would not easily believe his implied words. He had seen Herakles and Athena before. Herakles was strong, stronger than most divinities, despite his mortal roots, but Zeus was able to have so much influence within the alliance because of the wisdom of Athena.
“What is the date and time of the gathering, and what are the requirements of participation?” the Concealed Emperor asked.
“The time is seven thousand years later on Mount Olympus in the Herakles System.”
The Concealed Emperor knew of Olympus. It had been the primary headquarters of the alliance before. For a divinity, reaching it within five thousand years was not troublesome at all.
“A divinity’s presence at the meeting is not mandatory, but the voice of the delegation will be lower due to the lack of divinity,” Hyllus said.
The Concealed Emperor narrowed his eyes. Considering the location of the meeting, this would give the Herakles System an innate advantage. However, it was also disadvantageous. It would not be out of the question for the other systems to team up and deal with the Herakles System if they took too much advantage of their home ground.
The Concealed Emperor agreed. Since the Herakles System already sent out invitations, the likelihood of an alliance, even an embryonic one, forming was high. If the Immortal Court did not seize this chance, it was highly likely that they would be at a disadvantage if they joined later.
After agreeing, Hyllus stayed in the Primordial Realm for a few more months. During this time, the Immortal Court gave them a tour of the entire realm. This naturally included the red-light district, which delighted Hyllus and Castor.
However, it was only a momentary fancy for them. Once the novelty wore off, they left without looking back. This didn’t mean they left the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, just that they left the Primordial Realm. Their next destination was the Numinous Realm. This time, their presence shocked the Numinous Sword Sect.
Although their spies detected that the Immortal Court welcomed distinguished guests and even held a banquet for them in celebration, they could not receive more detailed information. They hadn’t thought much of it at first, concluding that it was for the Buddhists, but when they met the demigods from the Herakles System and learned of the wider world, they couldn’t help but be shocked.
The three demigods’ vanity was stoked upon seeing the shocked expressions of Divinity Yanxu. Although they were happy, they couldn’t help but think that the Numinous Sword Sect was hopeless against the Immortal Court. After exchanging information and inviting them, the three demigods left. Although they toured the Numinous Realm, they left much earlier. Compared to the Primordial Realm, it was much less entertaining. Especially without the Xiyi Talisman.
Soon, the envoys from the Herakles System entered the True Nothingness once more, traveling toward the next system.

I think it might be possible for Mamafei to reach divinity in that time frame. She has the privilege of having studied several divine artefacts, cultivating a high-level divine law (Heaven-Earth-Man), and just being an extreme genius even better than most of the reincarnators and other people with protagonist tropes. I could easily see it happening. As for Tianyi, I could see him completing the divine Law of Five Phases in that time. It should be significantly easier than completing the divine law of Spacetime. And I could perhaps see Daoyi become an Immortal Empress in that time if she works really hard and maybe gets some guidance from people like Grand Elder Xia who are experts/specialists in the five elements. But maybe guidance from Mamafei would be enough. Or she could spend her time meditating on the 5-element planet in the 9 heavens universe. However it happens, I think she can do it within a 7000 year time limit. It's not like she doesn't already have a lot of insight into the 5 elements. She just needs a bit more. She already has fire done from the golden crow flame. Metal is probably also good after Yanxu's sermon. Now just three more. That should be easy!

Tianyi isn't on the path to divinity. He is cultivating as a Fiend God. And the levels of Fiend God are not known among cultivators. We know that at the peak he can become an entire independent system like Pangu, but there are stages. For example the Fiendgod of dreams seemed to be at a very obviously lower level compared to Fiendgod Wuxing. But we have no terms to describe Fiendgod levels. One thing we can say is that Tianyi's next big breakthrough is his own native realm-essence production. Once he stops producing qi and only produces realm essence (that he can later reduce or dissolve into qi if he wants) Then we know he has definitely reached the next realm. But I would only consider that his equivalent of Origin Immortal, even though he would likely be much stronger than most origin immortals at that point. I think his version of Fiend-god divinity would be when the Nine Heavens Universe can be considered a complete immortal Realm at least as complete as the Numinous Realm or the Buddhist Pure Lands. Since he is using a planetary model, I would say whenever he completes his core Galaxy Should be "divinity" for him, but he should be able to fight at the level of a divinity well before that because he is a cheater who cheats.
