He's a formidable batter because instead of seeing the ball, he senses it with echolocation.

I will take the pun-ishment ... and like it.
He had to remove the sleeves as well as the entire side of his uniform because his wings are attached all the way from fingertip to ankle. He had holes pierced in them at waist level so he could thread a belt through there, but that's the only concession he's willing to make for the sake of clothing!
