🕑 Added 2023-01-27 15:18:09 +0000 UTCI just watched THE GREY with Liam Neeson and oh my goodness this was an intense story of survival! I low key love survival stories and my love for them began when I was a kid after reading my first ever survival story, The Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. I find survival stories to be really inspiring and THE GREY was no different. Incredible performances by the actors in this film, definitely had me scared and horrified at a couple points during this movie. Really enjoyed this though--thank you so much to my monster patron PERRY for picking this one out for me to watch, I appreciate it! I hope you guys enjoy my reaction.

Oh man. Brutal movie. I'm betting the two (John and the Alpha) died together. Interesting seeing the 'real' person appear in each character as their numbers dwindled. The loud mouth who was actually the most fearful (not surprising), for example. Yes, he was bleeding from the back because of the wolf that attacked him. And yes, I was going "Noooooooo" when the credits rolled. Yes, in many ways, very inspiring. Do you go out on your feet, fighting, or do you die on your knees, begging. I'll take the former. Lauren, once again, what a joy it was to watch another great movie with you. You never fail to deliver the Gold. This was a surprise because I'd never seen this one. Glad I got to watch it with you. Stay warm. Looking forward to the next installment of "Lauren goes whoa." Have a beautiful day. Peace and love Lauren. I'm out.

Wait, was one of the survivors wearing a hat with a yellow 'WY'? Like Weyland-Yutani?? Were we watching a movie set in the frickin Alien universe this whole time?? The Grey was produced by Ridley Scott after all. Also my internet wasn't playing nice so I didn't notice the video had paused. Thank God for the reflection in the background so I could re-sync your reaction lol.

I grew up on hatchet as well as many stories around that genre like jack London, Rudyard Kipling all of that stuff and it's helped cultivate a mindset I honed while in the military also and it's that self rescue is eminent; no one is coming. I have that poem of the grey tattooed on the inside of my arm to remind me of that. Thanks for watching Lauren and it's awesome you like these kinds of stories.
